Single ended Power amp recommendation
Well, here is no advice for a tube design, but did you ever listen to a Pass aleph series ?They are something special and sound very good from scratch, and they are not sensitive to Preamps.Another interesting idea could be the F1 amplifier ( the ...
CD v.s LP - When comming from the same MASTER
I think, it can't be answered in general. The Problem with CD has nothing to do with the digital Master in general, most differences are made through the next processes. High speed burned or low speed burned, with or without reclocked burners and s...
Is extremely accurate "VTA" adjustment necessary?
I think, Raul means "SPJ" Tonearm
Has anyone had experience with the Schroeder Arm
He is mainly living in Switzerland, but some time ago he sold the whole Table and went for a Vyger.
Has anyone had experience with the Schroeder Arm
No problem.I listened to various set ups with Schroeder. Some months ago there was a visit here from another Basis owner, he had a Schroeder with the armboard from a Basis. He wanted to listen to a Miyabi ( and the Pass amps ), so we made it.
TNT 4 vs Cosmos III?
Is the CAT amplification good enough, when you want a Zyx 1000 Airy? With the low output version you should have +60dB, with the high output you don't get out the best of the System, regardless which turntable - and Arm - you will use.

Is extremely accurate "VTA" adjustment necessary?
There are some very interesting answers, but honestly, after reading, most of the readers will know, why the CD had so much success.Anyway, in real life the VTA is important, but I think, when some will hear every nuance from every little bit of a...

Has anyone had experience with the Schroeder Arm
I think, everyone has it's own kind of sight, I compared last year the Schroeder with a Graham 2.0 ( no 2.2 ), in my System, same cartridge etc. ( it was a Takeda Miyabi ).The main difference was, the Schroeder creates a bigger soundstage ( hologr...
Preamp to use with Quad 909 Amp
Years ago I used Quad 606 with a Jeff Rowland Consonance Preamp. I did like it very much. That preamp sounds very good and has all you need, the phono section is adjustable.Still own the 606, now my lovely wife uses it with a 66 preamp and a 67 Cd ...
Aesthetix Rhea - IO-IO Signature
Well, the Zyx 1000's main difference to my former Benz and Lyra:Good as they were, after some listening I started to rate my records a la "good sounding"," bad sounding" etc. With the Zyx this stopped, the music is always the priority and I don't t...
Aesthetix Rhea - IO-IO Signature
Hi Joe,Lapaix gave you the right info. It's a good one, it holds always the balance and is a timeless classic, there is a seperate stand for it available, too.
When your preamp doesn't match your amp
Normally the amps will sound slow, not really dull, but slow and they have no air in the high frequencies. Unforutnately you will only notice it, when you know the reproduction when everything is right.
