Lamm ml2's amps with coaxial speakers 97db 16ohm From my experience with ML2.1 and some speakers there is a big difference between "very well" and *ahem* very well.It is true, that they can drive lots of speakers, more than most imagine, but only with High Efficiency Speakers - I think 8 ohms an...
Triplanar VII tonearm & Koetsu Jade Platinum cart. There is a List from DougDeacon (or a Thread?) about improving the Triplanar VII here. With the "Search" you will find it.
zyx universe cartr.- ideal weight -ideal vta , I have it completely parallel and run it with 1.98gr but I would say, it is a "forgiving" cartridge. It works on top level in a wide range.
Largest Impact - Arm or Cart? Normally I would say, the Cartridge but when I really think about it, the Tonearm is the way to go.I have MUCH more Satisfaction when I listen with a DaVinci tonearm (for example) and a modified Denon 103R (Shibui) than with a -former- Roksan Tabr...
Speaker's Corner.....Best of the Best ? Yes, Rushton, that is true. Thank you.
Best matching amp for Wilson W/P6, any sudgestions I would use them with Pass Aleph 0 monos.
Pass Labs Aleph Question - balanced vs unbalanced? I tried both ways with my Aleph 0 monos and the XLR input does not sound better. I agree with Ghostrider45.

Speaker's Corner.....Best of the Best ? Well, I own lots from them and honestly, I think, most are disappointing, when I compare them to the Originals or to those from Classic Records. Some of the better ones:Espana! ArgentaGrieg: Peer GyntTchaikovsky: The NutcrackerBruch: Scottish Fanta...
"S" shaped tonearm ? Hi Raul, both we know that nothing is final. there are always different point of views, for good designs and average ones. But some of these "S" Arms have their "Birth" only from Design reasons. It is true, that there are more parameters which are ...
"S" shaped tonearm ? Audiofeil is spot on. Probably unpopular, but he, or the engineers are right. The S-Form was done lots of years ago but today there is no advantage anymore. the most solid construction is straight. Can you hear the difference between a S-Arm and a ...
Xv-1s competative carts mention in latest TAS The last two over $5K cartridges that anyone sent him.Lewm, you are a bad boy :-)
Does it really get any better than the Raven AC ?? Sure it does get better. My friend owns one and never uses it. Too depressing compared to his other table. We made a comparison with 2 identical cartridges, identical Arms and all into the same electronics.
Is setting VTF on Graham Phantom fussy? Never had this "Problem", I agree with Jaytea. When you screw the top cap, move the arm to the spindle, after that it is in its Bearing 100% |
