Crossover cap value?
I feel Jeff is correct when he says to let the speaker crossover do its job. I would not add any more caps to this scenario..you will be adding phase shift. Why don't you consider upgrading some of the internal passive components of the Studio20's...
Stillpoints or Audio Points, has anyone compared
Fiddler I have sold or installed many hundreds of Audiopoints and many Sistrum platforms and racks. It has been my experience to only use the APCD protective coupling discs on hard or decorative surfaces such as hardwood floors, wooden speaker sur...
Stillpoints or Audio Points, has anyone compared
Fiddler your speakers as you described previous were never direct coupled to the floor underneath the carpet and the Persian rug combo. If you had removed the Persian rug and tried the use of Audiopoints under your speakers I feel certain the poin...
Stillpoints or Audio Points, has anyone compared
Hello, I have been a user of Audiopoints since the the Earth cooled and a user of Sistrum since the turn of the century, and I am recently a dealer for both. There is a local Goner here in Louisville who asked me over several months ago to compare...
Hales tweeter?

Bass Response on Dunlavy SC-IVa
The problem is the variation in the reaction of the woofers to the floor and the ceiling. You have a large differential in boundary effects. The woofer on top is much further from the ceiling than the woofer on the bottom is from the floor. So you...

Damping Vibration - Friend or Foe?
The wave launch and acoustic center point of my room is aimed at my listening chair and away from my audio rack..Does not everyone listen like this? Geometric acoustic devices designed as part of my ceiling further capture frequencies and redirect...
Damping Vibration - Friend or Foe?
Barry what is the bandwidth of your devices? Have you calculated a refresh rate ..at what point do your devices become saturated and then impede frequencys that follow? Tom
Sistrum or Neuance or...?
Is there not a post in hiding that was here residing last evening? Tom
Sistrum or Neuance or...?
Larry thanks for the invite, the listen, the great company and the coffee, I am still wired. As you said the Halcro gear has no flavor of its own, quite remarkable electronics. The Sound Labs are purity defined, so much inner detail, resolution an...
The Great Cryo'd Outlet Test
I would like to try cryo treatment on Audiopoints and Sistrum platforms. Devices that are reactive within a known environment, unlike an AC outlet, a device dangling within a know environment but being much controlled from a variable outside envir...
