Cambridge 840C, YES it is as good as the reviews
Mr Bill, I owned an Opus 21 and found TOO detailed, if there is such a thing. The company lives up to its name RESOLUTION Audio. I found it tiresome after several months, plus the odd placement of control bottons UNDER the CD tray, and the 2 box s...
Rega Saturn. Is it really a giant killer?
Do you Saturn owners leave it on 24/7? I see there isn't a "standby" mode.
Need artist's name
Thanks for all the responses. Don_s, I had done exactly that (Google) and got the same results. None were it though. Vcarv, my first source for any of this type of research is always allmusic.com (see initial post), but I came up dry there as well...
Uptempo "Say It" Roots Rocker in 2/4
Thanks guys! That's the song ..... good stuff. Looks like he is well respected as an artist. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&searchlink=RODNEY|CROWELL&sql=11:6s320rjac48b~T1
Bel Canto Cd-1
Groberts, The Opus 21 and MF A5 are fine players but both have "quirks" that bother me. The 2 box set up of the Opus 21 was more a gimmick to me and a nuisance. As with the name of their company, it does have incredible resolution but I'm not sur...
Bel Canto Cd-1
Here's a post I responed to with my experience living with the CD-1. It is my current player. I owned both an Ayre CX-7e and an Electrocompaniet EMC-1UP for about 60 days (at different times). I'm not good at lofty descriptions of how audio compon...
Ayre CX-7e V Electrocompaniet 1UP V Esoteric DV50S
I owned both an Ayre CX-7e and an Electrocompaniet EMC-1UP for about 60 days (at different times). I'm not good at lofty descriptions of how audio components sound, but I'll try in layman's terms. Between these 2 I liked the Ayre more than the Ele...

Ayre CX-7E or Musical Fidelity A5?
I A/B'd these and the A5 blew the Ayre out of the water. The Ayre is flat and lifeless IMO. FYI ... the Resolution Audio Opus 21 smokes both of these as well.
Your ONE all time favorite love song?
I don't see how any lover of music can have ONE favorate song. It's like, "Who's your favorate child?".

Fatcataudio is a dealer of Resolution Audio Opus 21 CDP. Dude, you really should put that disclaimer in your post, IMNHO.
"Burn-In" quietly?
Fishboat, I thought of this but then I assumed (maybe wrongly?) that the amp isn't working very hard at a low volume, thus extending the burn in process. Am I wrong?
"Burn-In" quietly?
Thanks folks, I'll go with the resistors (after checking with the manufacturer)LOL @ Bartokfan, (insert tounge in cheek here) DUDE, but how about that burn in time on the "clever little clock"? I've had mine modded by GNSC ....... sweet!
CDP to replace vinyl
My Resolution Audio Opus 21 comes close, but it STILL doesn't have that soft, woody, warm, smooth "vinyl" sound compared to my 1981 Hitatchi turntable with a $300 cartridge.
