What is the actual percentage of people exclusively listening to vinyl vs digital?
I recently went to a direct ethernet connection streaming to my Devialet Expert 400, figuring this is about as good as digital gets, at least for my money. I am delighted I can finally listen to digital as a source instead of just background music...
Crossover with variable slope and time delay
Understood.  It is daunting to try to match everything by ear alone, recognizing that I have now opened up Pandora's box for those who will say you should only trust your ears.  My feeling is the ARC should get one close and then tweak by ear. I h...
Crossover with variable slope and time delay
I am considering the addition of room correction as well but at this point it is of secondary import. It would be nice to have but its absence is not a deal-breaker.
Crossover with variable slope and time delay
I have a Devialet Expert 400 running Wilson-Benesch Vectors with a distributed bass array powered by a Dayton SA1000. I am considering upgrading and was initially simply going to replace the D400 with a D440 but I do not want to rule out other com...
Another dedicated line question
MC: not sure what you mean by "one line is always better".  One line for each device or only one line in conduit? Also,"The power used today is the third or fourth iteration."?  I have done multiple searches and read multiple posts. Difficult sepa...

If you stream music from the internet, I can't recommend this more highly
Kind of new to the streaming thing.  How might this be different from/superior to using the optical input from a Sonos Connect to your system? Just the quality of the hardware or is there more?
SOTA Total Eclipse Package
http://vpiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14253&start=40I replaced my HW-19 MKIV motor with the Total Eclipse Package but the motor is mounted on the base.  Well worth the effort and $$ and the folks at SOTA are great. Good luck!

Usless but interesting ....how many of you old timers started with original Large Advents?
First "high end" system had Large Advents driven by Crown preamp/amp in college.  Upgraded to stacked Advents shortly after graduation.  A few years later gutted them and converted into tri-amped speakers with all-new drivers. Young and stupid...
Recomend Some Albums Recorded with True Imaging.
I agree Jazz at the Pawnshop is a must listen. I am certain I have ground down the high frequencies on "High Life", but it is still one of my favorite tracks.  Almost anything from Professor Johnson/Reference Recordings would be worthy.
Devialet Expert 200: Not as well built as you might think.

The best looking speakers
Wilson Benesch Vectors in various finishes. Form follows function fabulously.  http://wilson-benesch.com/vector-floor-standing-loudspeaker/
Curious what people think is the best "value" high end speaker (~5K to 15K)
Wilson Benesch Vectors.  New for around $15k but have seen them used for under 8. Small footprint and relatively short height with decent efficiency (89 dB). Play incredibly loudly with surprising bass extension considering their size.  The sound ...
Is the 2.5 way speaker the ideal home speaker?
I have a pair of Wilson Benesch Vectors. My understanding of their 2.5 way system is 500hz for the woofer, 5khz for the tweeter, and a full range  “midrange”. Seems to work well.
