How many LP's do you own? How long did it take? Tpreaves - I bet that's a familiar story. I too sold off some lps before I made the decision lps are what I want.
Duped again Jeez-I buy lots of lp reissues. I know the originals might be better, but often the time and/or money involved to get an original pressing is too great. The reissue becomes a nice, affordable alternative to nothing at all...
Entry Level Turntable-- Preamp Matching The Musical Fidelity V-LPS is very good. I owned the Musical Surroundings Phonomena I, and think its better. I would go for the Jolida JD-9A if it were my purchase. It can be upgraded with different tubes and mods. Plus you can probably find a use...
sub-woofer recommendation for 2.1 channel I think Totem makes one. I am experimenting with a Marton Logan sub-which is actually working out pretty well. Its fast and if I dont push it hard, rounds out the bottom end very nicely.
Usher CP-8871 MK II... what kind of sound? I have Usher X 718 and like them very much. Smooth detailed sound, great looks and great value. I have had good results from NAD and Musical Fidelity amps. I would bet they sound better with better electronics.
Not your everyday bookshelf speaker? I like my Ushers X 718
How many LP's do you own? How long did it take? I find it interesting nearly everyone has 100's or 1000's of lps they dont listen to at all. If you dont listen to them, why have them? Would you sell or donate the ones not listened to? If not, does it make you a "collector?"
Advice re: Entry level CD Player Go for the NAD. I have owned a few NADover the years, including the 545Bee cd player which I think offers good sound for the money, plus it matches your amp. They will compliment each other.
FM Radio is dead ....R.I.P FM = free music. Long live free music.
Help newb figure out the best route for new setup I have an Origin Live TT combo. I would put it up against cd sources costing 3-4 times what I paid. If you can invest $2000 or so, I would opt for Origin Live's newest entry level TT the Aurora and arm (either OL1 or Alliance) with a inexpensive c...
How many LP's do you own? How long did it take? I dont listen as much as i would like to...still on the weekends I manage to spend 2-3 hours listening, which sometimes developes into an all day affair...depends on what I have going...I dont have kids, so I have a good amount of free time.
Changing from Vinyl to Digital in Brave New World I would keep your LPs until you are very sure you like your new digital system. I did the same thing, and ultimately went back to LPs. I am glad I only sold off a few in the process (which I had to pay alot of money to replace).

Best Satellite speaker out there? IMO, the Energy speakers will sound better than the Bose. What is your budget? I like Usher's entry level speakers, which can be augmented with a sub later when budget permits. NHT has some very nice sats too. Check thm out for sure!
