High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz
Nglazer, I tried the dac to linestage first and linestage to amps second. I thought the line to amp made the biggest improvement. For the first hour or two they will sound great, then they go south for a day, only to come back much better. After a...

I now have a WGPC Ultimate Reference, which now has about 14 hours on it. After about a half hour, I thought that it had the characteristic HF attributes, namely defined bass, sweet and extended top in, and great easy and clarity. I had four Still...

Chris_launder,I too had been using balanced cables. Fortunately, my preamp, Exemplar XP-2, had both balanced and single ended inputs and outputs. I compared what I thought were excellent balanced cables with the single-ended CT-1s, then CT-1Es, an...

Nglazer, having had two of your three cables, I am confident about what you will hear, but I also know people have different tastes.

Powder1, fortunately or unfortunately, the CT-1U speaker wire is clearly superior to the CT-1E, AND the CT-1UR is considerable better yet. And each and every step up comes with much longer breakin. And each step will reveal faults in your system o...
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Mrtennis, what separates men from boys is the cost of their toys. I used to spend more money racing catamarans than on audio or sports cars. Now I live nowhere near the Gulf or ocean, and need the capacity of a SUV rather than the performance of t...

Charles1dad, do you have both the Troy and the WGPC now? I'm anxious to hear your experiences. I think I'm getting the WGPC today.
Sub-woofer fast enough for Horns?
The old Infinity ServoStatics used a servo system for feedback. Nevertheless, it could not keep up with the electrostatic panels. It always seemed to me that this should work but that Infinity didn't use it to its maximum.
Sub-woofer fast enough for Horns?
In my experience with Lowthers, Voice of the Theaters, Klipchhorns, Acapellas, Avantgardes, and Beauhorns, no there are none fast enough. The same is true at the other end. Only the Muratas super tweeters with nothing below 15k Hz works with horns...
Best Speakers for 10' x 12' room?
I have a 10x13x8 room but have only a sleeper couch in the room. I use the LSA1 Statements with great success. But the addition of the Zilplex resonators allowed this. I now get a room with the recording venue in the front and not the restrictions...
Affordable Newer Speakers
I use the LSA1 Statements in my second system in a small room. I think these speakers are a real sleeper. I don't use a woofer with them.

Rx8man, thanks.
No more big power supplies for preamps
Response34, I guess that I agree that once I hear a line stage, I make a judgment about its power supply. I certainly don't just look at the size of the ps and make the judgment. If you mean by "properly designed" that it sounds great, I agree.
