Geoffkait, I once had mu metal ics, which had a memory of how they were rolled. I don't remember why they were made, but I thought they were of no value. But they had no magnets associated with them. You guys are trying to make HFCables into norma...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD
I think all these comments on break in suggest that in the main reviewers are not experiencing components as buyers of them know them. Matt should be congratulated on his thoroughness in gather all these units, but were they component really optim...
Synergistic Research ART Basik, any opinions?
David, I'm sure that many conditions that cannot be held constant in listening rooms affect the sound we get as much as do tweaks. Certainly my experiences differ from yours as I have constantly found alternative room treatments badly interact wit...
The best speaker you ever heard?
Hazyj, I don't expect consensus on anything much less speakers. I certainly have no interest in what is most often mentioned or liked by most.consensus.

Mapman, I'm not sure if many here would understand what he might say. Lacking that understand also means that what he might say seems unlikely to influence sales.

Mapman, I'm sorry for being cavalier. I just have no idea how one would know it might hurt nor to know afterwards that it did. There are going to be magnetic waves anytime there is current flow, so nothing is really new.
The best speaker you ever heard?
Far and away the best sound I ever heard was an Altec 604 that was all battered and driven by a two WE 205 tubed amp. I doubted I would ever find a second amp and so didn't buy it. What a fool I was.But now Exemplar Audio is going to have 604 copi...

Mapman, cables that were not expecting magnetic conduction. I guess they will just have to get over it. Their parents didn't bring them up right.

Geoffkait, yes early scientific inquiry focuses on mere observation, then on data, then on experiments, and then on explanation. There is little motive for manufacturers to move along scientifically.

Lak, My answer is not of much help. I initially tried the one I had on the HFC waveguide power center. The only other place where I tried one by itself was on the LSA Statement Plus amp. The contribution of one on the ac filter was much better.

Fluffers, they don't like to be moved at all. My guess with the Ultimates that you would hear improvements for at least a week. I'm not sure that you really need signal running through them or just need to let them settle into position.

I really think that those who say the laws of physics disprove any benefit from these devices totally misrepresent our scientific understand of the properties of nature. We only know some of the patterns that can be used for our proposes to build ...
SACD... can you hear the difference?
Johnnyb53, I think, as is typical, SONY screwed up SACD. But hopefully in going to quad DED to save their master tapes, they will realize that audiophiles would pay a good deal for perfect replicas of those tapes. More importantly I will soon have...
SACD... can you hear the difference?
Yes, on a universal player, but in double DSD once taken to the raid, it is outstanding.

Ddraudt, I have just tried another very good power cord that is fairly inexpensive and gives easy to listen to music. Then I put the HFC URR back on and heard the revelation of realism. These best HFC cables and especially the power cords just kil...
