What is new with the Memory Player?
Askat, I did not say that the first VRS system I heard was in 2003. Then I heard a new version, a much better version in 2005, what has taken so long? I don't mean to be argumentative here, and I would love to hear a comparison of the two. How wou...
What is new with the Memory Player?
Askat, I heard the VRS at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest two years ago. I had heard much earlier at the VSAC in Silverdale, WA. The more recent unit was far superior and Mr. Sanders seemed like a very nice guy with a very convenient product, but th...
What is new with the Memory Player?
Askat, what does "already been preceded by the VRS Revelation II" mean? There were VRS systems in the past that preceded the MP. Is that all you mean?
Moving coil transfprmer?
This is the seamy side of moving coils. I have owned many active headamps, includingthe Klyne SK-1, and I have had transformers that do give you optional loads, but the best yet is a phono stage with enough gain. The problem is very low output car...
JADE AUDIO Cables
Jmcgrogan2, I am using two different stereo amps now but when I had mono blocks and 8' speaker wires, I put a camera tripod behind each speaker and a Rightway Audio Suspender on top of each. I ran the speaker wires up to the top and down to the sp...
Moving coil transfprmer?
Armstrod, if this is directed to me, I have never even heard of the Monolithic.
What is new with the Memory Player?
Smargo, if the dac did not matter I would be shocked. This is why I am mainly interested in the MP with its 32 bit dac.
Moving coil transfprmer?
I have had many transformers for low output moving coils: Cotter, Denon, Techniques, Auditorium, AudioNote, and Neumann. I have always hoped that I would find a phono stage with enough gain to not need either a transformer or a head amp prior to t...
Ferrite Cores for Power cords
There use to be Red Rollers, but I think the company is out of business. Appart from those used in the expensive Siltech line of cables, the Red Rollers are the only ferrites I could stand. They are quieter but at a high price in terms of the pace...
Tube CD-player question
The consensus is striking!
Early Stealth Indras vs, later versions
It was all in the connectors. The new ones are low conductivity and do make a big difference. The early ones were all "beta" versions sold at a lower cost.
DK Design Review
Snofun3, did you mean to say postponed rather than discontinued? Having heard these prototypes, I really hope so.
What is new with the Memory Player?
Alex, you say that none of the current dac manufacturers have a 32 bit dac. Does this mean there is a new manufacturer or that you are doubting that Nova Physics has a 32 bit dac? Why would a dac manufacturer make a dac with gain?
How do you tell how dirty your power is?
Elizabeth, is this tongue in cheek?
best preamp ever - cost is no object
Jmaldonado, it is a free world (at least part of it), subjective evaluations will always drive buying decisions, and it isn't anarchy, it is capitalism. If you make a better mouse trap, the world will beat a path to your door. I do agree with your...
