Suteetat, I don't think many cable companies' cables sound good in a mixed bag. Certainly, when I had Stealth cables, Synergistic Research cables, and now Exemplar Portals, this has been true.
Tidal have you heard them? Are they your favs?
Ebm, the V3 is the best of the Magico speakers in my opinion, but overpriced.
Tidal have you heard them? Are they your favs?
Ebm, Magicos are IMHO not even competitive.
Do you ever doubt you ears ?
Wolf_garcia, my sentiments also about sweet sounding things getting better after breakin. Nevertheless, I have grown willing to wait a short time after I unplug interconnects and plug them in somewhere else for them to settle down. Audio excellenc...
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Nietzschelover, I agree the real question is must DBT/ABX testing be invalid if it shows no audible differences.
Do you ever doubt you ears ?
Hotmailjbc, yes, me to. I don't think for a moment that it is uncommon to hear meaningful differences.
Do you ever doubt you ears ?
When I do A/B/A comparisons, the final hearing is definitive. With some things, such as line stages and ac filters, this is difficult. But yes, I trust my ears. There is nothing else as I think same/different 30 sec. comparisons have nothing to do...
How do you judge your system's neutrality?
Orpheus10, I can only imagine trying to determine the "panel of distinguished audiophiles!" I guess I think this effort would be innocuous and irrelevant. I, of course, entirely agree that science cannot contribute here. I think all the following ...
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Lush, I think the real question is what constituted a valid measure of whether people can hear a difference between cables, etc. There is much criticism of the typical "same/different 30 second exposure" method. It certainly does not correspond to...
Tidal Speakers owners
Elviukai, I will not enter into a discussion of which speaker is most sensitive to associate equipment. All I will say is that some equipment make the Tidals sing. I know my preferences for speakers do not coincide with those that regularly get th...
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Mrtennis, thanks. I spent most of my career teaching research methods to grad. and undergrad. students. One of the key issues, especially in the social sciences is finding valid measures to allow testing of hypotheses. I amazes me how difficult it...
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Mrtennis, you ask, "why do intelligent people deny audio differences?" I guess the adjective need not be included, but this is the real question. I have never understood why anyone would want to seek to convince others that there are no audio diff...
Tidal Speakers owners
Shsohis, much depends on the electronics and wire associated with the speakers as well as the room. Fortunately, Tidals show what precedes them. If your dealers makes no effort to audition them well, that is his problem.
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Mrtennis, I think we start testing hypotheses from birth, and we use our senses. In my methods courses, I would pick a member of the Corp (those in the ROTC) and ask him to stand in the small room and then to turn in a direction where there was a ...
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
Lrsky, you and Greeni have certainly entered into a discussion I have never seen in any audio postings. I think you are neglecting observation, such as Newton realizing everything fell toward the earth and wondered about it, Rontgen the x-ray or D...
