Great music but poor recording recommendations. IMO the Coltrane VV recordings, esp from 1961, are very 'alive' and sound great. I wouldn't trust anyone else to have recorded them. That aside, his European tour pablo set has lousy sound and great music.

Great sounding close to back wall speakers. THere's another thread on just this topic a few days ago. Wilson has some new at CES speakers that can go right up against the wall (and on bookshelves). Having not been at CES, I haven't heard them

Future of this hobby? I had a twenty dollar mono record player that I started on over 40 years ago. The thing is that, while technology changes, I also played pinball and watched television--and in a way these were the 'amusements' available for teenagers at the time. ...

Recommendation: Gould Well-Tempered Clavier LP set It's been a long time since I worked in a record store, but by 1972 I don't think mono lp's were being issued along with stereo. So the M means something in terms of Columbia pricing. Same with the S. I could be wrong though. |
