is electro emc1 balanced?
I auditioned the latest EMC I Mk II 'UP' model- bass was exceptional, and good soundstage- no complaints (recently sold a Capitole MK I, and I would consider the EMC slightly superior, mainly due to the bass- build quality appears better as well)....
Review: Coincident Speaker Tech Total Victory Speaker
Zaikesman- I have also read this, but have put less credance to these comments with regards to the Victory lineup, which I do find you can get great results with using lower powered SET- type amplification, even more so than the Eclipse lineup, wh...

JC Audio represents a similar product- a medical-based isolation device.

As the thread originator, thanks to all participants for your very informed comments. I am thinking the Audio Note 3.1 balanced dac is the way to go, and will probably pursue that avenue- all owners of this piece sound universally thrilled about t...

transport/dac combo beats any one-box player...
agreed Rcprince- by the way, what IS the best matching Dac I could get for the Teac? I want the most analog, natural sonic signature yet not willing to pay any penalties across the frequency extremes. Have you ever heard the Audio Note Dacs??

I own a pair of his recommended amps- rebuilt/highly modded Altec Lansing 1570BT monoblocks (165 wpc in triode using only a pair of 811's per channel). They are superb from top to bottom of the frequency spectrum. I also owned another pair of his ...
Audio Aero Capitole 24/192 too foward and bright?
John_1- I have the MK I (running it direct to a pair of modded 160 wpc triode large tube monoblocks). I am considering the MK II- is it even better than the original, and if so, what sonic parameters did you find superior (OR, inferior)??
Wyetech Topaz owners - share your experiences.
Coincident Total Eclipse is one fo the best matches for the fabulous Topaz (new 572 version) amp- there is a guy with that combo that I have e-mailed to see if he will post a response to your question. Fabulous amp though...
AA Capitole Mk II - what the evaluaions brought?
Mes- I have the Cap MK I, and tried a high-quality passive with it. At first, I liked the improvement in clarity, however realized after a while that I preferred direct to amp (no restriction in dynamics, seemed more 'natural').Oh- almost forgot- ...
