Speaker Axis ?
Just slouch down in the chair and listen. It is easier and cheaper to raise the speaker than the furniture, unless you use a barber chair for a listening seat.I tend to prefer the tweeter to actually be just slightly higher than ear level on conven...

need something to replace built in LCDTV speakers?
How would you bypass the internal speaker amp of the TV and still use the TV's speakers? I don't see how you could even have access to that part of the TV, without voiding the TV warranty? Most TV's have line level "audio out" jacks. Just plug the ...
Dac to dvr/tv
Actually, it will handle DVD (spdif digital out) output just fine, "but" only in two channels. It will not have the processor/chipset needed for modern multi-channel sound. You can however take those two (L&R) channels and run them through your ...

However out of all those replies not a word answering your question about if it is/was good.In general the "Son of Ampzilla" of the 70's was considered quite good for the times. The newer version "Son of Ampzilla 2000" and the "Ampzilla 2000 Monobl...

When he says "many times" it make take 30-100 times. What you are doing is wiping/wearing away oxidation that has formed on the contacts of the volume control.I used to have that on my maintenance list along with turning all the push buttons off an...
A quick question about Bryston BP 26+14B SST2
I'm with Bob. While it is generally recognized that the "sonic benefits" if any, might be small on short runs, I like the secure connection of of the XLR.
Thiel 3.7
The BP26 "does" have XLR and while at a short run it may not cause any appreciable sonic differences, it certainly does make for a better and more secure connection between components.
Amp not enough power
As a side note, one of my distributors sent me a new "price list" for the ARAGON (and Acurus) which apparently will be available again soon in 2010 models.Indy Audio Labs is to be the parent company.
Wyred DACS
It has volume control, but not balance control.
Integrated amp with built in DTS Decoder ?
Nothing exists like that except an AVR or a PrePro which you would then set to 2 channel.
