Constrained layer damping tape on toroidal transformer?

If you contact Cardas, Audioquest, Kimber, et al, they can make wire it to any length you need.

Ayre is certainly not out of business.  I just (a couple of days ago) got my V1 amp back .....I thought I heard a brightness in one channel of my 15 year old amp....  When I got it back, EVERYTHING about the sound was many ways better than the old...
Speakers with the most detailed midrange? (non-ESL/planar)
I am using Vandy 5A's and truth be told, my earphones are more detailed...though they don't have the depth, air, bass, etc.
Acceptable speaker hum from integrated or sign of impending failure?
Unacceptable to me.   I can put my ear to my speaker with volume up and no hum at all.  Send it back to the manufacturer
