tboooe.....you'll be happy.  Its not necessary to get the most expensive ones you can find.  Even moderately priced subs help and will not destroy your very fine Sonus Fabers.
Hum in speakers
Go to Home Depot and get a "cheater plug". Try to get one that has 2 spades, and no ground (long, round) connection. If they only have the grounded type, just cut off that round pin. Plug your cheater into the wall with the amp attached. If that d...
Ortofon Cadenza Black Vs A90
I'm using a Windfield which is (I think) a suped up Black......think it quite extraordinary...especially how its priced.  1000 ohms opens it up...very even and colorless.
Who in the North New Jersey area. to set up and dial in turntable?
Whart....yes...  If you want John to come to your house, I'm sure that could be arranged.   If the object is to get the turntable done right, and if Arizona is too far away for Me to do it, then John is the man to get it done.
why do people feel the need to buy expensive cable

VPI acrylic vs. aluminum
To me its not a tradeoff.   The Classic platter is a "WOW" definite improvement to the accrylic.   I had both and I tell it how I hear it.  You might also want to give the mag/lev platter a try.

If you are REALLY interested in the power and the glory of large classical music, you ain't gonna get it with a bookshelf.  Get yourself a top rated earphone and accompanying amp for it.  You'll be so highly impressed, you may only use your speake...

..so does Richard Vandersteen, and many, many others.  What you're doing is making your full range speaker and amp work far less without those awful power grubbing lows which are suppiied to the sub.
Power cord break-in tips?
I agree with Dave.   If you're interested, make notes as to the different results from minute to minute.
Concert Experience for $5k?

What settings do people use with Lyra cartridges?
1000 ohms really opens it up...wider sound stage, greater 3D effect (Etna)
