Reverse Phase Preamp with HT Bypass
Brf, I have not experimented with that. There is another situation that comes up. Though 2-channel is my primary listening mode, occasionally I like to put on multichannel SACD. The more I think about it, my second preamp choice makes more sense. ...
Reverse Phase Preamp with HT Bypass
Brf, source equipment does not have option to reverse phase anywhere. Also, with exception of DVD/Blu-Ray player, everything will go through preamp - wireless DAC, CDP, and TT.I am starting to re-think the pre-amp choice and consider an alternativ...
Review: Salk Sound SoundScape 8 Speaker
Understanding that they're in a different price category ... but has anyone here had direct experience comparing Salk SS8's (or similar Salk) to Wilson line - Sophia, WP's or Sashas?
D-SONIC SOA Class-D Core Amps. The best Class-D ?
Guido, between this thread and a couple of others, I get a sense that you are not only technically astute, but also you've been the voice of reason in many of these discussions. That said, have you tried to get a couple of these D-Sonic amps in fo...
D-SONIC SOA Class-D Core Amps. The best Class-D ?
Thanks 4orreal ... so it's not just me thinking the exact same thing.
Classdaudio vs Channel Islands amps
Izora, yes I prefer the CI Audio D-200's to the Class D Audio amps. To me the D-200's are more neutral in my system. Never listened to the Cherry's ... hence no comment. I only communicated with the owner/designer. That's my point. Talking to the ...
Classdaudio vs Channel Islands amps
Izora, see below for a response I posted in July regarding this subject. It's not about the same model you're considering, but it's from the Class D Audio family. My suggestion ... just go ahead and get one in for a no cost audition. If it meets y...
Cedar Walton RIP
True, another giant gone. Experiencing his music live was a real treat. Along with Mulgrew, that's three within the last couple of weeks ... Marian McPartland, and George Duke. Hope the next generation carries on.
Marian McPartland
I was saddened to hear that she's gone. Really enjoyed her Piano Jazz program and had the good fortune to see/hear her live a while back.
Legacy Audio AERIS: RMAF/listening impressions?
I heard these at the Cal Audio Show (CAS) too and IMHO they were the best sounding large speakers on hand.
D-SONIC SOA Class-D Core Amps. The best Class-D ?
Well said Guidocorona. Thank you.
Best Sound at the California Audio Show, thoughts?
There is great sounding gear and then there's music. Certainly plenty of the former to go around. Plus one for the Music First Room as well as Loggies' Audio collection; although I didn't feel the Acapella room was tuned quite as well as past show...
Has anyone tried an amp from Class D Audio?
Mapman, not trying to get into a p---ing contest, but my system was pretty consistent at the time I auditioned various amps. Rather than read all the reviews and comments here, and then wondering if "I might be missing out on something" ... I foun...
Tube buffer or tube preamp
Thenis, to your question: "Why people use a tube buffer when he can replace a ss preamp for a tube preamp."I did it to maintain functionality of my pre/pro for HT/surround application, while enhancing 2-channel experience. I had Joseph Chow of Aud...
Has anyone tried an amp from Class D Audio?
I tried the SDS-254 and it was natural sounding and compared well with other Class D designs that I auditioned. Sound-wise it was tilted up on the low end a bit. All together I had the following in my system: Nuforce, Bel Canto, Wyred4sound, Chann...
