Are the KEF Blade/Blade 2 Metas a Significant Upgrade from Blade? The uniq driver in the blades uses a vented magnet, I believe it’s the 10th gen uniq with the custom tweeter. Each line of kefs use a different uniq with the blade and blade 2 being unique to even the reference, now the ref and blade meta use the ...
Are the KEF Blade/Blade 2 Metas a Significant Upgrade from Blade? What I notice when we get to the $25k speakers is how smooth the mids and treble are. Good, affordable speakers will squawk or chirp with hard recordings and the early uniq speakers could be ruthless. The Blade uniq is already as smooth as any out...
Recommendation on speakers for listening to live music The original revel salons were great with live recordings and my meridian dsp 8000's are amazing with live recordings.
Vienna Acoustics The Music vs Sonus Faber Stradivari Bump, I would appreciate knowing the resolution and final impressions. Before VA's 'The Music' I thought of VA as a bridge to that rich, forgiving SF sound? Gregm suggests the big VA's are leaner in the 80-100 hz region, but we have other thread...
Rockport Avior 2 vs Wilson Sasha DAW I love the wilson rooms at axpona
Sonus Faber speakers - what's your experience? When tweeter carried SF I only remember trying to sell a kidney to get a pair. I still think of my VA beethovens as poor mans sonus faber
The Match Test Never stayed in a dorm but have similar fond memories
Yamaha ns 5000 The ns 5000 looks promising and I was also interested. I believe you can get a 30 day return policy with purchase. I bought a pair of blade’s because sometimes I like to listen at concert levels and now am hooked on the blades. If mine sell I’ll u...
Are the KEF Blade/Blade 2 Metas a Significant Upgrade from Blade? You are right of coarse, nobody is going to believe you're smarter than generations of engineers with access to measuring equipment and tools most mortals can only dream about. I respect the diy'r and the community, but coming on and taking shots...
Hegel H590 integrated amp Congrats, I bought my H590 shortly after Axpona 22 and it is impressive with the power it has. I don't have a hi end dac so use the built in 590 dac with a roon nucleus trouble free. IDK what roon ready means but the h590 is mqa compatable, with e...
KEF Reference 1s v LS50 Metas not a realistic comparison. the price difference should suggest that. Decide the primary use for the system, the room and how much you really want to spend. A room can be a pretty good equalizer and if acoustically challenged might not be worth th...
Are the KEF Blade/Blade 2 Metas a Significant Upgrade from Blade? with my R105/3 even with a 93.5 db sensitivity I still horizontal bi-amped them with a krell kav 300il on top and a B&K 4420 driving the bass. The Blades are a much easier load and the quality of the uniq is miles ahead. IDK how big a room you...
Are the KEF Blade/Blade 2 Metas a Significant Upgrade from Blade? KR reviewed the blade 2 meta's . I don't understand what he is trying to say in this review. He comments that he never missed surround sound while listening to the blade 2 meta? Was that line for his multi channel followers, IDK the comparison at ...
Amps for KEF Blade 2 I've been enjoying the h590 with the blades, but audiotroy have me interested in the T&A gear. I don't have a local shop that carries the brand so no way to home demo, and the h590 does an impressive job of controlling the speakers.
KEF Blade Two - Unbelieveable What if you woke up with a half a million more than you went to bed with, personally, I would keep the blades. I might start looking for a better house to put them in, but the speakers are as good as I can appreciate. |
