I personally like the Ifi tube buffer II and you want to try a tube buffer I recommend that you do your own research and decide the amount you want spend and dive in.
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same?
I'm all "in" for integrated amps. A couple of years ago I have purchased a Marantz 1180DC and 1152DC Integrated amps from the mid '70s in excellent condition and I'm very happy with the sound that coming out of my Klipsch Forte. These amps are bui...
I miss my Loudness Button and Tone Controls....
I love having a loudness switch and tone control as well. But if it just the loudness switch that need to add to your system then I would recommend looking for Micro Ifi Tube buffer II which has a Xbass loudness switch that you can adjust from 0 t...

I am enjoying my analog system, but what can I do to improve?
This is something that every audiophile wants and looks for. If you enjoy what you're hearing - then enjoy your system. If you want to improve your enjoyed equipment, then you will always live with wanting to improve. I have been in that state of ...
Slow used market right now?
A good quality stereo equipment will smash your foot if you drop it. With that being said, the cost of shipping heavy and large boxes is astronomical. Secondly, the new administration wants the IRS to collect taxes on the secondary market seller, ...
Share albums where EVERY SINGLE song is good
I like all kinds of music whether it's old or new, except for Opera. The one rule I follow when listening to the same album over again or paying for a concert is - "do I get tired of hearing that singer's vocal?".  With that being said,,,,,, The ...

Best light weight full range speaker recommendation.
Klipsch Forte are full sounding speakers and weight about 70 lbs. They warm sounding, and non-fatigue, and they are an excellent investments.

Whats on your turntable tonight?
Just got my Marantz 1152dc and Pro-ject turntable tuned up and now laying down some Blue Note: Johnny Griffen/John Coltrane/Hank Mobley - Blowin Session, Bill Black Combo - Rock N Roll Forever, and then an Australian Prog ’N Roll band called South...
Best bang for buck integrated amp for $500
I would look for an integrated amp with a minimum of 100 watts with those speakers. The amp that comes to my mind is a little out of your budget, but the Outlaw 2160 will fit your needs. It a Stereophile recommended integrated amp and has plenty o...
Suggest one obsure album we all should hear
I've been listening to a lot of Blues and Prog Rock lately, so my high recommended Prog albums (that you won't hear much about here in the States) are by Southern Empire, Riverside, Porcupine Tree (Steven Wilson), Moonrise. Then there are some blue...
