Isoacoustics' Gaia eliminated a 120Hz mode
I use the GAIA II under my GE speakers and the sound definitely went up a few notches.  It’s one of the few tweaks I tried that truly works and can be heard within the first few minutes of listening.

What is the OP referring to?  I can’t understand his writing.
A little tube magic?
Just buy a tube preamp and use it with your SS amp, very easy. Tube buffers are just a bandage on the problem.
Can overseas shipping be less using the Audiogon system or is there a better way?
No you cant.  Shipping has gone way up on every major carrier.  I lost a speaker sale due to the high cost of shipping.
How To Safely Ship Cartridges For Retip
I shipped my cartridge via USPS Priority.  Went from East Coast to West Coast in 2 days.
To clean or not to clean...
I run my Hunts Record Brush on brand new vinyl.  I don’t feel cleaning is necessary unless the new vinyl is noisy.
Best Desktop Speakers under $500
I am on my second set of Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 speakers.  For $129.00, I haven’t heard a better desktop speaker.
Yet Another Post About Power Conditioners!
To OP, if it helps, I use 3 Shunyata conditioners in my main system. I use two Hydra 4 and one Hydra 2.  My system which uses a tube preamp, and the system is dead quiet.  I used to have a radio station cut in and out on my system but they shut do...
Need speaker suggestions for my evolving system!
I would have put my foot down and politely tell the wife the ZU’s were staying. I find Totem speakers to be quite bright sounding and a small speaker will not fill the room. You went from good speakers to meh speakers.   I also think the Class D P...
I’m looking to upgrade my Magnum Dynalab MD106T???
I listen to FM radio at least 8 hours daily. The main rig has a Mac MR88 tuner which I listen to 4 hours a day and the office rig has a Mac MR85 tuner which I listen to another 4 hours a day. For my taste, it’s Classic Rock all the way. What I sho...
Who Were Your Mentors
I did not have any mentors. When I was 16 and was purchasing my first system, a Sansui 210 receiver and a pair of Rectilinear 1A speakers with a Garrod turntable and Sony Cassette deck, my dad was furious.  He said I already had a portable radio a...
Bought a new McIntosh amp
I owned the McIntosh MC152 and it is a very powerful amp.  The output transformers are inside the case to save a little money and to keep the form factor small by Mac standards.  I moved up to a MC302 and it is the same sound, only more wattage.  ...
architectual digest hifi setup.
Most likely, they don't have any real hi fi in their home.  At best, probably a Bose something or other/
Sibilance
It’s the Emotiva. I have 20+ versions of DSOTM and the chimes on Time are not distorted, nor are the highs. A friend with the Magnepan 1.6 or 1.7 was using Emotiva amplification and he claimed something similar. He replaced the Emotiva amps with s...
DAC Dilemma
I have heard the previous version of the Benchmark dac and found it a little bright sounding. Perhaps it could be tamed with cables? The ARC is a very smooth sounding DAC and will be more voiced to your present system. I know a lot of people who l...
