Looking for a McIntosh amp that gives a great example of the “McIntosh Sound”
@jetter, Surely you jest.  In case you really don't know, the sound is a little warm with gorgeous tone and a richness to the sound.

@aewarren, Why the fuss?  You know darn well he was referring to people that own McIntosh, Jeesh.
Any turntable installation references for help in Boston area?
I had Goodwins dial in my VPI turntable. It never sounded so good until it was set up at Goodwins. They had/have? a turntable guru that was excellent.  You have to bring in house though. I thought there was a small high-end store in Hingham?
Please tell me the wait will be work it......my rack
@pops,    I had an Arcci Superstructure rack from 1990-2002. Too bad I outgrew it.

I had a McIntosh MC152 and it definitely has the McIntosh house sound. It is a 150wpc powerhouse, dead quiet and a great amp.   I only moved up to the MC302 because I got a deal I just couldn’t pass up.  The MC152 has the output transformers which...

Power amp or integrated amp?  Do you already own a preamp?
Your thoughts/experience with very good, cheap tuners?
I have a McIntosh MR85 tuner which I paid $824.00 for at Audio Classics.  I see these selling used for $1500+ now.  I also have a McIntosh MR88 top line tuner which I bought from Audio Classics for $2200.00.  I use them both daily.

I use 3 Solid Steel racks between my 2 set ups.  They were expensive to me but worth it.  They are solid as a rock and I believe my outlay was around $2500.00 for the 3 racks, purchased at Music Direct and delivered within 3 days. The Pangea rack...
Pangea Ethernet Cables
@audphile1 ,  I bought a simple internet cut off switch.  It goes between the router and my desktop computer.  Push it in for internet and out for off.  It closes all 8 pins in the cable and works great.  Best $21.00 I ever spent including the shi...
How long did you have to wait for Primaluna to deliver
There are plenty of different threads talking about waiting a long time for certain pieces of equipment. McIntosh is around a 4-6 month wait.   You could also check with Kevin Deal at Upscale Audio.  He is invested in Prima Luna.
Don’t buy used McCormack DNA 1990s amps
So, Steve McCormack the designer of the amp says the input boards can’t be repaired. Then, the armchair experts here proclaim the board can be repaired. Who do you think you or I should believe?
VTV D300 Digital amp
@nationalbar , im sure they are but it would be of no interest to me.  I plan no more changes to my systems regarding electronics.
Let's talk about Buckeye's new 3 channel amp
After reading through the thread, I have no idea who Buckeye is. If the fit and finish looks like I made it in the basement and there is distortion to boot, then it isn’t for me.  Sounds like a DIY in progress.

You guys enjoy your new Class D amps, I hear they have gotten much better.  For myself, Class D is not for me.  I’ll keep my Mac amps.  75-110 pounds of American Iron and muscle. God bless America!
What internet stations do you listen to enrich your musical mind?
I have a Mac tuner in each system and almost all of my FM listening (not internet) is 94.1WHJY. It’s a Rock station out of Providence, very clean sounding.   They play new music and a lot of Classic Rock.  It’s on at least 8 hours a day between th...
