Experience with adding super tweeter?
I purchased the Aperion AMT version with their 6ft silver cables. At first, I was not sure if I liked them. Then, as I moved them and adjusted to where like a sub I wasn't "hearing" the tweeter, I found that I really liked them and did not return....
OCD mickey website and negativity.
I think what he's doing is pretty smart. After over 35 years in the hobby in one form or another, I learn something new from him each time I watch. Of course a dealer is going to strongly rep his brands, but being very exclusive in the brands you ...
Any High End Tube Preamps with *gasp tone controls?
I'm considering even worse, hold your breath and sit down...an EQ. Love my sound, but no phono pre up to the Ref3SE gets me to where I am with CD and streaming. So, looking at a high quality EQ to boost the highs and calm down some of the bass wit...
Speaker that are 'KEEPERS" for the long haul!!!
Analysis Audio Orions. Made me do what I thought I'd never do, sell my IRS Betas. As big as the Betas sounded, the Analysis dwarf them in size and sound; all but the low end impact which Rels address. They are brutes with finesse. Huge and deep so...
Infinity IRS BETA
Check out my system page here. I've had a lot of fun with the Betas in recent years. I just let them go to fund other gear, but can't say enough good about them. Be prepared to invest considerable time getting them set up properly, not just placem...
Could we get a group of all IRS Beta owners?
@ervikingo I sold them over the weekend. The gentleman that purchased the betas also purchased the extra cables and emims I had. Thanks for checking.
Phono Stage SoulNote E-2, the only one that accepts DS Audio Optical cartridges and more..
Interested, how does it sound?

To all on this thread, made a tough call over the weekend. Mine are now for sale/trade on AG.
$50k - $80k Budget…Opinions please.
@toddcowles Consider running 3 dedicated 20 amp lines. 2 for mono's/subs on each side and 1 for your sources and other rack gear. With this large of a room, you may even consider doing a couple more around the room if a 2 channel/theatre combo is ...
Ideas for Biamp with mc611 and mc275?
@w123ale Interesting little piece. Wish I would have found it years ago. Yes, one for each channel should work. Great if you have two balanced pre-outs per channel, use a good quality xlr splitter if you don't. Good luck! Forgot to mention in pos...
Could we get a group of all IRS Beta owners?
@ervikingo I've always listened to mine straight or very slight toe in. They are second system now, so on a side wall where I need to keep them close together and close to the wall and guess what..they still sound terrific! I also prefer the sound...
Ideas for Biamp with mc611 and mc275?
There's been multiple questions about this lately. Will be a little long, but hopefully this info will help get some over the hump to give it a try. I've horizontally and vertically bi-amped at least 20 different configurations(lost count) in rece...
Picture worth a penny LOL!!!!
Hilarious that someone brought this up. I've seen this enough in the recent months that I thought I might have missed a memo. Still trying to figure out going forward if this will reduce the amount I offer on the product..
Worth upgrading from MC611 to MC901?
@emergingsoul Don't know the running use specs. Maybe call Mac or check with a dealer.  That pic is from a previous system I posted for an IRS Beta thread. The Mac amps on the side are 2301's on Sound Anchor stands. I have the Sound Anchor stands...

@ervikingo Thanks for asking. Yes, it's figured out. My integrated gets noisier as it warms up.
