Speaker stands with long legs and broad tops??
Skylan will make any size you want, not cheap but not out of reason.
Help With Mission 774LC Please
I use to have this arm but it was close to 30 years ago. I would try 2 grams, that is what I use on my Denon 304 and AT 33 EV. I don't use anti skate as a rule but I wouldn't worry too much if it tracks music passages. I have at least 6 test LPs a...

What cartridge are you using?
To bi-wire or not to bi-wire?
There is no simple answer as the whole question of bi wiring is highly controversial. My own advice is to go for one really good pair, like Cardas GRs or GCs or equivalent and a pair of jumpers. If you do bi wire I would go with the dedicated bi w...
Anybody have experience with "Janis sub woofers"
NO! Anyone who says one sub is better than two is misinformed, assuming they are of equal quality. I can only tell my RELs are on by feeling the speaker, but they make an important contribution to the music. If you can hear a sub then it is set to...
Turntable Recommendation
Used is the best path, I recently bought a used Basis 2001 with a Graham arm that had been updated to 2.2 and a new AT 33 EV from J&R and paid less than $3K including a new belt and record weight. Most good tables have a long life, it is hard ...
How to set up REL Subwoofer?
For music reproduction the high level is better, My HT is also 2 channel so I can't comment on 5.1.
Linn LP12
I would make sure the the cueing rest is level. I had a problem with mine once. When I raised it it would stay in one place but as I lowered it it would slide sideways because it was slanted slightly.
Help with set-up of Empire 598III Turntable
I obviously meant stylus, not record.
Help with set-up of Empire 598III Turntable
If I remember the Dynalift automatically lifted the arm at the end of the record. I also seem to remember that you could disable it by tilting it inward. I use to do this as I really didn't trust it not to jerk the record out of the groove. It has...
Long ICs versus long speaker cables
I feel your pain, my GRs were 1/3 price used and I still paid $850 for 2.5M pair. I don't have GR ICs, I use VDH as they are close but considerably cheaper for me. I would look at some other sources, my long ones are Audio Synthesis Silver Blue wi...
Long ICs versus long speaker cables
I would go with the long ICs, I have done so when I was using mono blocks directly behind the speakers. As a matter of practicality I think that you can obtain good quality long ICs much cheaper than long speaker wire. I also have Cardas GR speake...
The Hub: Advanced Transduction - another new speaker brand?
The specs look like science fiction to me.
Am I overpowering my drivers when they
An ideal transistor amp doubles its power every time you halve the impedance. Most are not ideal and may even deliver less power into lower impedance's. In some cases they will not drive them at all or damage them or itself. Weight is usually an i...
Am I overpowering my drivers when they
The loudness control is intended to boost the low frequencies when listening at low levels; you may be overdriving the bass if you use it , especially in conjunction with the Equalizer. The first thing to do is to turn off the loudness and take th...
