Power cable Advice...
Newsflash: it doesn't matter. I'm drowning in snake oil here. If someone wants to spend a ton of money simply because they want a pretty looking cable, great, that's their business. But let's not pretend it's going to make anything sound different...
Seeking Honest Opinions: Your Experience with McIntosh Audio Gear
A lot of their amps measure objectively worse than amps priced MUCH MUCH cheaper. Not that they're bad amps by any means, but you're paying for name and esthetics.

Cable management....crossing at right angles or
Crossing at 90 degree angles is a good practice, but don't put anything around your cables, they will just cause interference where there was none before. And unless you're using lamp cord or metal hangers, you won't hear anything either. This pla...
WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO COMMENT ON CABLES AND EQUIPMENT THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD?
Because you don't hear cables.
Cable elevators
Posts like this are incredible. Barrels of snake oil. You may as well run a coat hanger... it wouldn't sound any different than what you're doing now. This is all psychological.
New CD Player
You're talking about 0's and 1's, dude. A CD player from 25 years ago is fine,  much less 12 years ago or even last week.
