speaker recommendation 2500 or less small room
New pair of SP Technology Timepiece Minis. You probably won't need a sub.
GIK Acoustic Treatments
I'm using 4 Tri Traps in my living room, and I have about 20 244/242 panels in my recording studio. They do the job just fine. They're not perfect aesthetically, but good enough to look pretty professional. I tried making one once, and it's not as...
whats the best addition u have bought for system
The best addition I have made to my system was buying a Pair of SP Technology speakers.
Studio monitors as Audiophile speakers ATC, PMC
Unijabass, I'd check your manual for recommended hookups. I believe your Onkyo is a powered receiver, not a separate preamp. I'm not too sure about hooking up powered speakers to a receiver. Maybe someone will chime in about that.
Studio monitors as Audiophile speakers ATC, PMC
Hey Unijabass, Just plug them into your preamp where you would normally plug in your power amp.

I had my Focal Twin 6's in my living room for about 6 months until I got my SP Tech 3.0's. They sounded great. I could easily live with them as main speakers. $3k for a pair of speakers with built in amps. That's hard to beat. The Twins are back i...
Best U.S.A. speakers?
I would say SP Technology deserves a top spot.
Owners of speakers by obscure companies chime in
My vote also goes to SP Tech. I've had a pair of Timepiece 3.0's for about a month now and I have absolutely no desire to search out anything that might be better (if there is such a thing).
If I like Dynaudio monitors, I would LOVE?????
Take a good look at the SP Technology Timepiece 3.0
VS Vr4jr to Vr4sr mk 2 upgrade
I made the upgrade from the Jr's to the Sr. MK2. The MK2 was a huge step up. It's one of the nicest speakers you will hear in that price range but......you'd better have a properly treated room to handle the bass. I will highly recommend the Sr's ...
Speaker suggestions:long-wall, somewhat nearfield.
Take a good hard look at the SP Tech Timepiece Minis and get them before the price skyrockets.
We have a Winner -- Major "MINI" monitors
You can use the 3.0's in a smaller room. Just make sure you load up on bass traps. My room is only 15 x 12, but with room treatment, my 3.0's sound absolutely incredible. Go to the Audio Circles site and read my review in the SP Tech Forum.
SP Tech Timepiece 3.0-Dynaudio C1 comparison?
I've had my 3.0's for almost a month now. You can read my review on the SP Tech Forum at Audio Circles. I don't plan on buying any new speakers for a long, long time.
looking for new speakers $2 to $3K
Take a look at the SP Technology Timepiece Mini.
Active Speakers: The usual suspects ....
I own the Focal Twin 6's. I use them in my recording studio, but recently had them in my living room form a while. They sound great and have plenty of low end for smaller rooms.
