Von Schweikert VR-4 Jr Room and amp Requirements Rob, I'm very interested in these speakers. I'm currently thinking about getting a pair for the living room, but would love it if it could fit in my tiny bedroom (12' x 8.5'). Please look at my system and you'll see how small the room is. I'm sur...
Large Speakers Small Rooms Rob, Von Schweikert VR4jrs are almost ridiculous for that room. They are incredible speakers but need a lot of room to breath. Romakabi, here's your answer finally. My bedroom is downright tiny (8.5' x 12'), but the music is incredible in the roo...
small room speakers I know I don't have the speakers you are looking for, but my room is tiny (8.5' x 12') and I love the sound. Please look at my system.http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?vdone&1092381361&read&3&zzlSpacekadet&&
Opinions on Revel Performa F32? Hmm... R3fico, where did you hear the F32s and what equipment were they using with it? I'm only asking because the ones I demoed were very impressive. I wouldn't be surprised, if a pair of these made their way into my system one of these days. My ...
Best headphones you've ever heard/used Thank you everyone for awesome feedbacks. The two headphones I'm looking for are for different purposes. The in-ear phones are for use with my iPod, and the wireless headphones are for night time listening in my bedroom. I need them to be wireless...
USB DA recommendation needed Hey Rsbeck, can you watch DVDs (Dolby Digital or DTS sound) through your Mac and Apogee Mini-DAC?
Mark Levinson 390S question Hmm that's interesting. I'm not sure what kind of signal my computer outputs from its digital out port. The computer is Apple PowerMac G5. Does anyone know if I can use this machine as a DVD player through ML 390S's DAC?Thanks
Got my very first system. What's my next move? Thanks everyone, I can always count on you guys for a good honest advice. I actually figured out the next step for myself, while I was looking at the audio system on the floor. I need a stand. Do any of you have any suggestions/recommendations fo...
Revel Performa Series You should mate them with a Revel B15 subwoofer. Your setup is very similar to my father's and the B15 subwoofer is amazing for music and HT applications.
Can the Totem Hawk Rock? I'd again recommend the Totem Hawk for your situation. They certainly can't play as loud as the B&Ws, but in your small room, 100dB (which they can definitely play without compromising sound quality @ about 2m away) will cause serious ear dama...
System upgrade suggestions I'm no expert, but your system sounds pretty good as it is... I think one of the most valuable add-ons, especially in a small room, is some room treatments. I'm looking into some myself and I think that'll be the next best step.Good luck,Seong
Can the Totem Hawk Rock? The short answer is YES. I think as long as you have a good quality, high current amp, there shouldn't be any problem. I brought in my McIntosh 7300 (300Wpc) amp into my Totem dealership here in Singapore and the totem hawk rocked w/ AC/DC and had...
Totem hawk or Forest / Be-wiring or not? The Totem Acoustic dealer I visited here in Singapore had both the hawk and the forest bi-wired. He said that bi-wiring will produce better clarity, greater dynamics and more accurate imaging. As for the watts, these babies are rated at 86dB (hawk...
My first real hi-end audio system Please advise Mark (Mhedges), thank you for your concern, but my apartment is pretty safe. We have double door security system and I've been living there for two years without any problems. Plus I'll have the system in my own room and lock that up as well when ...
My first real hi-end audio system Please advise Wow, thank you everyone for your inputs. I didn't expect to receive this many feedbacks in such a short time. It seems that I have underestimated my father's 10-year-old equipments. I certainly will not be selling the MC7300 power amplifier now an... |
