speakers for VAC 30/30 amp
It would be irresponsible of me not to jump in here. You should go for a pair of the Wilson Benesh Curves. www.wilson-benesch.com At the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest paired with the 25 watt deHavilland Ios single ended amp the sound was killer. These...
Best Tube Amp under 10K?
Depends on what tube you prefer. The 6C33 are nice. Dark background good power. 300B's are great as well. Great in the mids though not much power. The 845's have the same great mids as the 300Bs but with a lot more power.
Review: deHavilland Electric Amp Mercury 2 Tube preamp
For sure the Mercury was designed by a person who loves the sound of single ended electronics. It seems to me that when you run the signal from a single ended preamp through all those transistors and then add feedback, and then split the signal ou...
best sounding small speakers
The Wilson Benesch ARC's. Made in England and made not from MDF but rather carbon fiber, just like the steath bombers. Avoiding radar is similar to sheading sonic waves. Perfect sound with plenty of base when it is real base and not boom boom base.
Talon Raven C VS Tyler Acoustics Linbrook Sig sys
You should listen the Wilson Benesch Curves. Taking conventional drives, no brass, diamond or zircon and putting them into a Carbon Fiber Cabinet is miraculous. Most speakers are made of MDF which is just sawdust and mostly glue. There website is ...
Best budget phono preamp?
Dynavector. Wow. Great price and great sound. Versatile as well.
Sophia Electric EL34 integrated amp
I really like this amp. I have used it with Cain & Cain Abby's, Single Horns and Zu Druid speakers. I have had customers tell me it sounds better, even much better than some 300B amps they have had, plus it has tons of power. I have some in st...
I am openning a shop. What equipment should I sell
Here is an interesting view at audio asylum. http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/critics/messages/14934.htmlJust one of the major problems in the industry. No one will stand up and honestly say what will work well together. Fear of other manufacture...
I am openning a shop. What equipment should I sell
Trelja Thanks for that thoughtful response. You are correct the magic is in the midrange. I favor a "spot on" tonal quality as well. Don't ask me to define it, you just know it when you hear it. Amazing how many speakers, even expensive brand name...
I am openning a shop. What equipment should I sell
Well you guys sure did offer lots of encouragement. Well maybe not so much, think I will finish my bottle of sleeping pills tonight, there are only 48 left. But seriously would you be more apt to buy brands that advertise a lot in the TAS and Ster...

Why so many "newer" Mac's for sale?
Are they not very satisfying ?????
Audio Aero versus Metronome : the French clash
We have used the Audio Aero Capitole and the Prima CD player at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. Some photos on our website www.soundsrealaudio.com One of the terrific lines we carry deHavilland Amplifier Company was at the show with the Metronome w...
CD players with variable output/volume control
I like the Shanling CD-100. Not expensive about $2000 retail. Our store sells them for about $1700. Very very nice. Remote volume control. Stunning looks.
A. A. Capitole owners - what's the next step??
Save your money. Get a new pair of the deHavilland GM-70's amplifiers. No CD upgrade can equal that.
