Best Electrostatic loudspeaker?
To Albert Porter: One thing that puzzles me is how restrictive are fuses, and your observation of using a different fuse or wiring around it think is aligned with this thought. Good contact and signal transfer (either at interconnects, speaker cab...

The use of copper grounding rods only for your system mentioned in the above notes. I haven´t go that far to three separate and so forth but use two it´s worth the effort. What I actually did is I´m feeding my system out of the 220 volts electric ...
Running a 220v preamp on a 110v line?
Hire an electrician to do what I suggested. Good Luck
Running a 220v preamp on a 110v line?
Don´t do it. You need two 110 volt lines to feed the parallel plug terminals. Either you put a new 110 volt line or take power out of the dryer circuit if you have it which runs at 220 volts.

Carl: Could you share what the interconnects between your components currently are. I know you have the REference CD50 but don´t recall the rest of your equipment. Thanks
How Flat is Flat?
Carl What you said is a mind opener. I have a room where diagonally I´m missing two corners (transit to other areas no doors) and would really like to try your suggestion.I thought on this posibility but having found only standard placings referr...

Korn: Don´t skip the separate grounding!! Not the ideal setup as has been described. Definitely you´ll get improvement over where you are now.

What to do next???
Grendel: I made myself this question: am I getting the most out of the actual system I have? and this made me think about the basics again. Work on power and vibration. Power : clean power dedicated lines if possible, dedicated ground good quality...

Power Cords
Did myself. Simple to tell the truth, if you can carefully take out the molded plug you can see the color coded wires and repeat the same order in the new one. Honestly my amp bass response in the lower octave was really improved If you would like...
Speaker Cable Recommendation
I have heard an amazing improvement over Straight Wire and MIT terminator in a couple systems when JPS Superconductors have been tried. Though there are slight differences between used models you can get here in Audiogon. Regards
Power Cords
Pops have you tried to upgrade the plug on the MIT? I just did (Hubbell 5266C) and it improves quite a bit gaining bass control, soundstage and clarity. If you compare the plug blades you´ll notice the improvement in quality you get. It won´t look...
TOSLINK DIGITIAL CABLE WITH DAC AND DVD
That´s Bel Canto recommendation. A week ago read in a thread that Toslink breaks electrical connection between DAC and transport and less correction is required. I had at first same reaction but this seems to be the underlying reason. I´ve also go...
