Hi Fi Man Headphones comparisons and owner comments I started out with the HE400S, and when I compared them to the Sundara there was very little difference between the two. Then I moved up to the Arya Stealth and that was at another level as you’d expect given the significantly higher price point....
Start with Upgrade to DAC? @mdalton It’s clear that @stevebohnii actually heard significant improvements in going to the Neo from the Zen, so you arguing some individual parts here are there is really pointless gibberish because in the end it’s about the sound and clearly f...
DAC upgrade from RME Forgot to mention the new LTA Aero DAC that also offers a 14-day a trial period and is made in the US. I don’t wanna put words in @teajay mouth, but inferring from his review of the Aero and what he’s said of his experience with the Tubadour (can...
DAC upgrade from RME I agree the RME is doing you no favors in terms of stridency, and although the move to R2R is a logical one I’d beware of going too far into the warm/lush range given where you’re coming from, and Mojo and Border Patrol would be a big sonic shift ...
DAC upgrade from RME What’s your budget, and are you looking for new or used?
Amp for Persona B Speakers That’s a great amp — Is it just too warm sounding for you?
Can hi-end cables benefit less expensive electronics? I think the new Corvette ZR1 is gonna have 1000hp. Yikes. I thought the Z06 was pretty sick as it is.
LAIV Harmony @campo007 This review has some words comparing the Terminator to the Harmony. Cliff’s Notes version, the Sonnet Pasithea dispatched the Terminator, and the Harmony dispatched the Pasithea, but it’s a matter of taste and you can get a basic idea of...
“My Qobuz” and favorites suddenly missing in Qobuz I still don’t see where my “recently played” list is. Looks like that just disappeared completely unless I’m just missing it being buried somewhere. You know, you’d think a company making changes like this could at least send out an email saying...
Can hi-end cables benefit less expensive electronics? If you believe that hi end cables make a difference then it stands to reason that the mediocre sound produced by mediocre equipment will be transferred to you much more efficiently allowing you to experience the mediocre sound so much more thorou...
LAIV Harmony While I’m sure Hans heard what he heard, I am always a bit skeptical when one reviewer says something that hasn’t been mentioned by other very reputable reviewers and suspect there’s a negative system interaction of some sort at play there. But, ...
“My Qobuz” and favorites suddenly missing in Qobuz Never mind. Looks like everything was just reorganized so everything is under “Library” now.
Rythmik Audio F12/F12-400 vs JL Audio E-Sub e112 The midrange is what is important...your wife will be happy..forget the subs they will screw up the sound...too slow and they will draw attention to themselves....not disappear. That’s just silly advice from someone who’s never heard what good,...
Compact powered remotes Audio Engine is cost effective and easy to do a trial I believe. Best of luck.
Start with Upgrade to DAC? I’d look at a LAiV Harmony DAC that offers a trial and an Innuos Pulse Mini with something like a Teddy Pardo LPS. A little over your budget but well worth the stretch I’d think. Best of luck. |
