Headphone amps
It’s been almost 4 months since you started this thread and haven’t heard a word from you, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume you may have just ignored it as this does happen quite a bit.  People are taking valuable time out of their own...
Need to build a headphone system
I’ve been to Audio46.  It’s pretty small — not surprising being in NYC — but they have good stuff and the people are nice and accommodating if you wanna listen to stuff.  And their prices are competitive if u wanna buy.  Great HeadFi resource to h...
Power Supply For Innuos?
Check hifishark as the LTA LPS does pop up used from time to time and will save you some $$$.
Need stand for LG TV and Sonus Sound-bar model help
Maybe a simple amp stand like this would do the trick?  Looks like it’ll add 4.7” but not sure if that includes spikes or not.  https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=24795
DAC for second system
@vthokie83 Excellent summary and thanks!  That’s kinda what I woulda thought but very helpful to hear from someone who’s heard them all.  BTW, I inserted the Iris into my HeadFi rig and found much the same improvements.  I found the noise floor dr...
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
@kota1 Sure, all else being equal bi-amping is nice but obviously costs more, and remember this is the OP’s second system so he may or may not feel the need to throw the works into this mixed-use system when he already has a dedicated 2-channel sy...
what to do with a stereo that needs repair
Since you already have a replacement amp I’d get the Ayon repaired as you’ll obviously get much more selling a working amp.  Of course that all depends on how much the repair costs, if it’s under warranty, shipping costs, etc.
If you had to narrow your choices to 4 - 5 speakers
@arafiq I recently read a post by someone (can’t remember who) who recently upgraded from the Perspectives to Pearls, and from what he said there were more similarities than differences and the biggest differences were that the Pearls could play l...
Setting up home office
For your room and what you’re looking for I’d put the Usher Dancer Mini-X DMD high on the list. Usher flies under the radar in the US but make beautiful and beautiful-sounding speakers and offer very high value. They are one of the few manufacture...
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
@kota1 I think it really depends on the OP’s priorities. If he really wants to squeeze the nth degree of performance for HT I could see going with a 3-channel amp and stereo pre, but I think bi-amping is unnecessary and he can just use bi-wire spe...
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
@kota1 While I agree in principle, in practice I’ve found using the AVR to power the center works well.  To use the same amp across the front would entail buying a separate stereo preamp and a 3-channel amp that will cost A LOT more and add anothe...
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
thanks! So should I connect the center speaker to the Yamaha as well as per @kota1 suggestion above? No, the Yammy is just a stereo integrated so can only power the front L/R.    So as per my original message "I was thinking of using the x380...
DAC for second system
@vthokie83 How would you compare the Pontus, Aquarius, and Terminator?
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
Id like to have the option for playing the same music in this room to another but perhaps I’m over engineering it. I could just have a Wiim Pro connected to the Denon x3800H and then buy a cheap amp to serve the other room with another Wiim Pro c...
Marantz pm8006 vs Denon PMA-1700NE for combined home theatre and music room
Is your higher priority HT or 2-channel?  If the latter I think you’ll be fine running the center channel from the Denon.  For the stereo amp I’d recommend this Yamaha that’s at a higher level than the ones you listed and can be had at a steep dis...
