Do you build anything for your high fidelity system? If so, what do you make?
Virtually everything in my system has been modified to some extent. DIY dedicated AC lines, room altered to extent of tearing out fireplace.
Upgrading from Primaluna
I'd agree with most of the above, work on room, the Hana could be improved upon. Moving away from tubes may not be what you want, I had modded PL Dialogue Four, tried moving away from tubes to SS for summer listening, didn't work for me. In my cas...
16 rpm
First Butthole Surfers first release, Butthole Surfers EP, I purchased early 80's. I'd never heard music like this prior to the purchase, ep suggested it be played at 69rpm. I listened to it at  both 33 1/3 and 45, can't recall if I had ability to...
Elekit TU-8600S. Best 300B’s?
I'd suggest there is no single best 300B tube. All the premium/boutique 300B's have fair share of positive reviews, based on other's impressions I'm quite sure I'd be happy with any of them. The only issue I've seen with any of them is premature f...
Is it good to upgrade the crossovers in your speakers?
@artemus_5  As mentioned above 20 year old capacitors getting long in tooth, should probably replace. As far as I'm concerned electrolytics don't belong in speaker crossovers, the issue is whether film caps will fit, large values mean less likely....
Is it good to upgrade the crossovers in your speakers?
For those advising against diy or any crossover upgrades. Did you have negative experience with crossover upgrades? I've been doing diy crossover upgrades for many years, these have never changed the essential character of speaker. I've only exper...

Is it good to upgrade the crossovers in your speakers?
I'll be contrary here and say go for it. As long as you're not changing values of components you're not going to change voicing to a huge degree. And the best quality parts are only going to improve timbre, natural sound quality. You can always go...
Why should audiophile deniers be allowed on an audiophile forum?
Censoring certain classes of people certainly troublesome and something totalitarian societies do. Still, I don't have a problem with censoring certain individuals who continually and constantly intentionally provoke anger which may lead to violen...

So right debjit_g, why I don't give so called 'professional' reviewers much credence. They mostly all have agendas, and also the other liabilities you listed. Everyone should also realize negative reviews may gain notoriety for the reviewer, and t...
Why should audiophile deniers be allowed on an audiophile forum?
I'd sure hate to be a moderator these days, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Human's sometimes can't tolerate other's free speech, and perhaps this with good cause. Intentionally provoking anger in others has been shown to lead to violent...

While I have no skin in the game and have no plans to try Musician products, seems from all the talk on net most don't get how China business operates. They operate under total war rules, whether this is Denafrips designed is of no consequence to ...
Network Switches
@glory Ok, don't like a very nicely reviewed Antipodes, so maybe you need to move into Wadax and Taiko Extreme territory. Otherwise issue is your dac, or something in rest of system.
Why should audiophile deniers be allowed on an audiophile forum?
Tylermunns states the connundrum of free speech succinctly. The onus is on the masses to discern the truth, unfortunately that's in short supply these days. So much excess information/propaganda to confirm one's biases, very sad times.
Forgotten heavy bands from late 60's to early 70's
@arcticdeth This is true, but then metal really came into vogue around mid 70's. Both prog and metal morphed from these earlier bands.
