Enleum AMP23-R buyer beware! I heard about a week ago on Head-fi that Enleum has a Facebook page and they've given updates on delivery. I think there is a batch that will be shipped in the next few weeks and another batch at the end of September.
Where do you buy your vinyl? I buy new LPs from Acoustic Sounds, Amazon, Elusive Disc, and Music Direct. I occasionally buy used LPs off Discogs but only Mint or Mint minus. If Amazon's price is competitive and the LP is a Prime offering, then I'll buy it there because of t...
How best to eliminate LP warps The Vinyl Flat and Groovy Pouch has worked great for me. I got one for my birthday in March of this year. Every warped record that I've tried to flatten came out nearly 100% flat. I first preheat the Vinyl Flat in the Pouch to 130-140F. Then I...
New mat for Rega P6? Double sided tape will fix the clinging issue but it won't eliminate or reduce static.
would using the onkyo a9150 with Thiel CS6 speakers be safe? I owned CS6 speakers for about 10 years. The Onkyo could be used a stop gap as mentioned above but I wouldn't play it at ear splitting levels because I'm sure it would clip. The CS6 needs a high quality powerful amp to sound its best. Amps that...
New mat for Rega P6? The Herbie's Way Excellent mat did reduce static for my P10 setup and it didn't affect VTA. This mat is much less expensive and better to my ears for sound quality than the Herbie's Grungebuster mat that sucked the life out of the music. Between...
New mat for Rega P6? I use a Herbie’s Way Excellent mat on my P10’s ceramic platter. I know the P6 has a different platter so your results may be different. I actually bought the Grungebuster and the Way Excellent mat to compare them knowing that I could return one or...
Enleum AMP23-R buyer beware! @keithr, you found the 23R overrated by Srajan but did you use it as a power amp as he did in his review? I’m using it as power amp with my Van Alstine FET Valve CF vacuum tube preamp and it sounds better than the 3 power amps I tried before it. ...
Enleum AMP23-R buyer beware! Enleum is a small company and the rave reviews for the 23R have created greater demand than they can supply given the supply chain issues. Many small high end audio companies have the same issue. Last year I inquired about a Decware amp and I was...
Rega P10/Apheta 3 connected to Luxman EQ-500. I've had my P10 with an Apheta 3 MC and EQ-500 for over 2 years. The EQ-500 has 2 controls that affect the overall gain. One control has 3 settings: MM, MC-HIGH, and MC-LOW. The other control is the gain control and it has 3 settings: 36dB, 38d...
Cornwall IV – tube (amp) choice I bought the Enleum 23R in December to drive my Cornwall IVs. It's a fantastic match in my system including the Aurender W20SE, Holo May KTE, Rega P10 and Luxman EQ-500. I also use a REL S5 subwoofer. Steve Guttenberg just today did a review of...
McIntosh MC275VI vs Rogue Audio Stereo 100 I tried both amps on Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers and I didn't like either one better than a Van Alstine 600R hybrid amp with NOS Mullard 4024 tubes. I agree with the samzx12 and pani regarding the MC275 VI. It's warm and lacks clarity. I thoug...
Looking to extend I have been into high end headphones for 30 years. I currently own the Utopia, HiFiMan Susvara, Abyss 1266TC and the ZMF Verite Open. I’ve used many extension cable over those years. The lowest price extension cable that I’ve used is the Grado ...
new headphones recommendation? grado gs3000e or… Focal Utopia would be my recommendation based on what your preferences. ZMF Verite Open would be another headphone I think you would like. Both headphones are easy to drive. If you like wood headphones, ZMF makes beautiful wood headphones that ...
Are Harbeth the only warm and euphonic speakers in town ? If you're looking for the BBC sound, I agree with Big_Greg, the Sterling LS3/6 is hard to beat. I own the Harbeth M40.1 and the Sterling LS3/6, both are great speakers. The M40.1s work well in a big room and because they need a lot of space. Th... |
