Best Buy Speakers at Best Buy under $1500pr
Not knocking Yogi's suggestion.  I just don't have any experience with his suggestion. I do, however, have experience with the JBL studio 530.  $400 less and rocks like hell.  Search this forum.  Good luck man!
Best songs to test speakers
One song I always use is "it's oh so quiet" by Bjork, i think its on her Post record.
Just Curious - About using a AV Receiver as main unit
Jay, not all receivers are crap.  I still have an old Denon receiver (pre-HDMI), made in Japan, 45WPC, 4 channels, non AVR, just straight up receiver.  It blew the crap out of a Parasound P3 and Acurus A150 combo, no questions asked.  How's that f...
Mood Music
Consensual worlds by Delerium.  It doesn't even feel like a 10 minute song.
best low priced bookshelf speakers
I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it. The JBL 530s are an incredible buy even at their regular price of $600 a pair.  You can catch them on sale for half of that on the JBL website every so often.  You can ditch the sub as these puppies ...
What is your most beautiful component?
My old ass Pioneer PD-65 transport.  Although it has been long retired, that is one good looking piece of gear.

Amen, Stereo!!!!
The best looking speakers

So what's the better deal (honestly)?
EBM???....EB.....??  M????  EBM??…...YOOHOOO
What is the most FUN pair of speakers you've ever had and why?
@ asat:  I hear you, buddy.  Totally understand.
Has anyone ever used any sprays or paints to protect the cabinet of a speaker?
Erik, per your suggestion, I found just the ticket.  Rustoleum has a clear urethane with UV.  I thought you were joking about the UV.  So yeah, I sprayed them puppies over the weekend.  They look much darker now, and cooler!  Thanks, man!
Has anyone ever used any sprays or paints to protect the cabinet of a speaker?
Loomis, that's really amazing.  I don't expect mine to last more than 5 years if I did what you did.  The summer sun we get is brutal for about 4 hours where i usually have them.  But good to know.
Has anyone ever used any sprays or paints to protect the cabinet of a speaker?
deeznutz, yes I am aware of that.  My intention isn't to try "convert" these speakers into outdoor speakers.  I simply want to minimize any damage that  the elements will inevitably cause.  I only take them out maybe twice a week, and never in the...
