Bands/artists you never got to see live in their heyday, but would've liked to.
@larsman yes!  I was 17 when i saw the Creatures at, of all places, the basketball gym at UC Irivine.  The seats were literally the bleachers.  And I saw "an evening with Siouxsie" at the House of Blues in Anaheim (downtown Disney, Anaheim).  Bud...

jasonbourne had the hic-c-c-c-cups.
What were the radio stations of your youth that helped you on your music/audio journey?
Without a doubt, KROQ in L.A. during my pre-teen to teen years (mid to late 80s).  Many of the bands I first heard there are still some of my favorites.   Man, have times changed.

Though funny, that was doooshy of you, Schubert.
A move has me thinking of a CD changer....?
OP: I have the Onkyo that donvito just mentioned.  Not very reliable as far as random play is concerned.  Out of the 3 brands that I've had, that's the worst one for the random feature.
Thrift store bargain
Yes, Sir.  I found a Denon CD/DVD player for $10 at Habitat for Humanity.  Came home, did a search, turned out it was MSRP $500.  Sounds fine.  Just had a little bit of paint overspray on it.
Variation on a theme. What are your other passions in life?

A move has me thinking of a CD changer....?
If you're thinking of a basic 5 or 6 CD changer, you're always going to have this problem:  the random feature won't always work.  the player will occasionally only shuffle between 2 or 3 CDs, and not the whole 5 or 6.I've had 3 changers, and they...

What are the sexiest components ever made?
Pioneer PD-65.
Does the Rogue Cronus Magnum III have any real competition in its same price point of $3k?
musicmann, i'm still on the look out...haven't made a decision yet.
Integrated / speaker pairings in the $6-7K range
Audiotroy: Are you saying you can cut the OP a deal and give him the amp and speakers for under $7K???
What's The Furthest/Longest You Have/Will Travel To Audition?
I drove 788 miles, one way, to buy a pair of speakers that I had never heard.  That was about 14 years ago and I still have them.  Will I ever do that again?  No freaking way.
The first system you had that was "high end/audiophile", by you standards
