Elrod EPS-3S versus EPS-3 Jfz, I appreciate your opinion. I see you don't have a virtual system posted, so I can't see where you are currently using an Elrod cord. Could you be more specific about your "extensive" use of the Elrods? Have you tried the 3 version on amps as ...
The listening constraints have been lifted I'm in the same boat,my friend. Timing and patience is so important to find that "me-time". Hang in there. Family is always top priority, but since they love Dad so much, they'll allow you your "me-time" from time to time. Best wishes. Enjoy your ...
Elrod EPS-3S versus EPS-3 I have tried both the original EPS-3 and the EPS-3S and the latter, the Signature is significantly better. One thing I did come across on both is that they both tend to have "one-note" bass. Some people have called this a "wooly" or "bloated" bass...
Is high frequency extension important to openness IMHO, I believe that the better a tweeter is,(assuming all other speaker parameters are correct) the more open and airy the soundstage will be.
Has MAS done it again ? Thank you, Albert. I look forward to your comparison.
Has MAS done it again ? Well, in my system, from pre to amp, the less expensive MAS Sigs have won out. Although the MAS Sigs have an amazing range, I am particularly impressed at how low they go. I have never heard bass go so deep and yet be so articulate. In the highs, ...
Biwired Speakers - silver for high, copper for low You might consider trying the new Flexygy 6 cables from River Cable. They are flat like Nordost for WAF and have a nice, neutral sound with good body. They offer a 30 day money-back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose.Plus their price is very r...
Has MAS done it again ? Yes, Bluefin, cables are very system dependent. As good as the MAS Sigs are, they might not be compatible with certain components. With the MAS Sig. so far I have achieved wonderful results trying it on my tuner and pre to amp. I have a lot of expe...
Has MAS done it again ? I bought another pair of the MAS Sigs last week and put them from pre to amp. Over the weekend, after having them burn in for at least 100 hours, I listened to some of my most familiar material on CD's as well as some evenings with some good tuner...
Has MAS done it again ? I've had several e-mails asking me how to contact Stu about these new interconnects. Their website is : www.audiopartsinc.com You can also do a search for MAS and these interconnects are currently being advertised. That's where I saw them. Please ...
Has MAS done it again ? Tom, Please look at my Virtual system.I haven't updated it recently, but have just added the one pair only of MAS Sigs. to the tuner. I have further testing to do to hear just how good these cables are.But for now, these are the best interconnects...
sonic signiture of accoustic zen satori I was told by an AZ dealer that the Satori are designed to have a flat frequency response. In some systems and rooms, this can sound like the top end is rolled off.Robert Lee can tweak your Satori for a nominal fee to add a rise in the top end to ...
Time Phase/Coherence-Vandy 5A vs. SL M-1 There are some very interesting and informative threads in the archives. Type in "phase coherent" and "time coherent" in the search archive. I'm a believer in time and phase coherent speakers, assuming all other parameters are properly dealt with. ... |
