Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Hi Joe, Yes, I have installed the floater kit on only the tube board. Since I put the kit in at the same time that I added the V-cap teflon bypasses, I can't do a fair determination of how the floater kit has improved the sound, but I am going to ...
Q. on shootout between time/phase coherent speaker My Reference 3A Dulcet mini-monitors are time and phase aligned. The only cross-over in them is one capacitor. They are very efficient and my 70W VAC monoblocks drive them to very realistic volumes. http://iar-80.com/page65.html Amp/speaker matc...
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Wow! The first person to say that they've returned the AH preamp. Thanks for your candor. Hopefully the AR preamp will be more to your liking, Rgd. Keep us posted on your impressions after your evaluations.
Review: Valve Amplification Company Phi 300 Tube amp Fplanner2000, I would be interested in your impression(s) of your new Phi 300. I would imagine that you'll fall in love with its performance. Perhaps you could start a new thread with your own review. I would look forward to that. Enjoy your new amp.
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Did the soon-to-be Ref 3 owner have a chance to evaluate the TP 2.0 preamp?
Excellent review of CAPACITORS Must read Does anyone have experience with a V-cap OIMP( oil impregnated) as a preamp output cap and have you also tried bypassing that cap with a smaller V-cap teflon cap?
Review: DCM TimeWindow 1 Speaker Speaker driver technology has come a long way since the days of the Philips drivers used in the original Time Window. The Wilson's are also quite a bit more expensive too, aren't they?
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Hi folks. I thought I'd give you a little capsule update on my cap upgrade experiment. I'm trying to be low-key and subtle on this experiment, because I don't want anyone to think that the preamp as is from Joseph with the Hovland caps is some typ...
Clayton M100 Monoblocks?? Here's an interesting review from a few years back: http://iar-80.com/page6.html
How fair is this? Well, the seller just ended the auction on Ebay. It doesn't say why. He had four offers, two of which were declined, so who knows. This one just ended as well So who's the lucky winner and at what price?: http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/auc.pl?...
How fair is this? Someone ought to e-mail this thread to the seller, assuming he's not watching this thread, to give him a heads up. I'm curious if he would make a post of explanation. A penny for your thoughts double auctioneer.
How fair is this? It does seem odd to have two auctions on the same item. I'd be dissappointed if I was the winner on the one auction that comes out lower priced than the other auction. At least the seller is up front about it.
Want something more forgiving than Vandy 3a sigs If your ears are indeed that sensitive to high frequencies, you might want to consider one of the many popular single driver speakers, i.e. Cain and Cain, etc. Go to the search engine and type in the two words "single driver". Lots of information.
Time to reflect - why do you post on Audiogon..... Wait a minute! Did I miss something? Is Newbee leaving us? Please say it's not so. If you make any changes, just change your username. You definitely aren't a "newbee" regarding things "audio".
