Could this be a Major Breakthough ? Yes, Bob. I fondly remember his "mad scientist" experiments. One of my favortes was when he cut the cabinet out around his DCM speakers and then spread concrete on the drivers. Yikes! A Franken-speaker! It's alive!
Could this be a Major Breakthough ? "We have heard from you in the past on various subjects.Very amusing for the most part.Sort of like a demented uncle/grandfather occasionally coming out of his coma.Keep up the good work,we're all in this together,Bob" LOL, Bob. Very funny.
Could this be a Major Breakthough ? The new 3D power conditioner also has a wood version. Who knows if it's a "Major break-through". They don't say what it has in it, only what it doesn't have in it. Anyone out there try one yet? http://www.claritycable.com/index.php/site/power_co...
Siemens CCa vs. Amperex 6922 D getter I agree that the Siemens Cca( late 50's,early 60's) grey plates are very special tubes. In the right circuit in a resolving system, they are truly magical. Unfortunately, they are getting rarer and more expensive as time goes on.
Capacitor log Mundorf Silver in Oil It looks like your friend might have to put some Duelands in his Heresy speakers. You've just turned your friend into an audiophile. I hope he has an understanding wife when he starts explaining why he has to buy all these new things for his syste...
Review: Verastarr Grand Illusion Series Power cord I wonder why they haven't mentioned these yet in their website? They do look remarkably like the old Electraglide cords. Maybe Scott Hall had a hand in their development. Both companies are in very close proximity to each other. Perhaps the design...
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Personally I think that the market is already over-saturated with AC power conditioners. Unless Joseph can introduce something very cost-effective and revolutionary, I think he'd be better off focussing on his previous plans of introducing a uniqu...
Review: Verastarr Grand Illusion Series Power cord These must be new. I don't even see them on the Verastarr web site.
Catchy tunes that sound great? If you listen to the top 40 hits enough, even some of the ones you don't like will stick in your head. I think they call this "brainwashing". On a side note, being a trumpet player and a long-time Herb Alpert and the Tiajuana Brass fan, I can rela...
Audio Research SP8 MK II Sounds I think Reylon meant to say E88cc for the 6922. The E83cc or Ecc83 is a 12ax7. Speaking of Mullard 12ax7, the best, although rarer and expensive is a late 50's long plate, square getter( magical sound in the right circuit) Also, find an early pair...
Cheap tweak from Virtual Dynamics: Hey, Tom! Put me on your list for that Brass T-shirt. I play a brass instrument( trumpet) as well.
Cheap tweak from Virtual Dynamics: Ouch! They must not have been packed very well. Are you still contemplating trying out a pair in the future? I saw a used pair for sale recently( maybe that's the same guy that sold to you) as it was marked for sale in the heading but the ad remai...
Cheap tweak from Virtual Dynamics: How are those Sistrum platforms working out for your speakers?
Cheap tweak from Virtual Dynamics: Grant, It depends if your screws are US or metric. You'll need to take one of each type of screw you intend to replace to a hardware store or Home Depot,Lowe's and measure for thread type, length, pitch, etc. so that you exchange out for the same i...
Cheap tweak from Virtual Dynamics: I searched all my local hardware stores as well as the more popular "nuts and bolts" boutiques and let me tell you folks, brass screws, particularly brass machine screws in small metric sizes( ones needed for my tweeters) were very difficult to fi... |
