Very small very sensitive floor stander 1000?
Totem Mani-2 - probably the deepest bass excursion in a small speaker - good bass too. (I know it is not a floorstander but it will sound like one - on stands of course)
Sexiest Pop Song Ever?

whats more important-speaker or pre-amp cable?
I second Newbee' good advice.
musical fidelity a3.2 blown left channel, repair?
The voice coils probably overheated and started chaffing and eventually arced to ground this probably overheated and blew the output transistor(s) in one channel on your amp. You should get the amp repaired - the speakers will need new drivers but...
Mono VS Stereo
Yeah I'm with Gregm - the Guarneri is the most neutral and transparent of SF speakers and a real gem.
ATC scm 19 vs ATC scm 20SL?
I think BongoB and Kinn got most of it covered. The 19 uses the same SL woofer/midrange driver so apart from a slight difference from the better tweeter extension (2.8Khz and up) they should sound pretty much the same. I have not opened a 19 up so...
DAC, amp & headphones 1k
Why offer headphones that allow the sounds to travel into and out of the units for audiophile listening ? Because open earphones generally sound best (Although, I believe Denon make an extremely good pair of cupped headphones). The only reason to...
long RCA cables . . .where?
Any more ideas about any significance lost in signal quality with this long run?. Thx.It will depend on the quality of the MC preamp. The lower the capacitance of your RCA cables the better.
long RCA cables . . .where?
Long cable from MC amp to preamp. could the signal be deteriorated in some form with 20ft of cable? quite possibly.
Mono VS Stereo
FWIW at 8 or 9 feet apart and sitting at a close near-field position (3 to 6 feet I presume) then I fear that you will indeed over-exaggerate some stereo effects to a degree that it becomes annoying on many recordings. Sounds will be to your left ...
upgrade from 803N's
Hopefully Kal will chime in here. My first thought is to stick to B&W so you maintain the same midrange tonality throughout.
Mono VS Stereo
I'm learning something new here (Single loudspeaker configurations and mono cartridges) really cool. Not to sound like a broken record but I really would investigate further the reason for your preference - you might learn/discover something else....
DAC, amp & headphones 1k
I second the DAC1 - it ain't tubed though - so no added warmth - but if you are going to hook it up to a jittery cable box then the DAC1 has a good reputation for handling jitter. If you want to block out background noise or you do not want to dist...
Cremona M worth it?
I second Ryder and Hulskof - good description of the Sonus Faber sound.
Mono VS Stereo
For example, are your speakers perhaps way too far apart ( I prefer them close together and much less than an equilateral triangle in order to preserve a more realistic concert like performance). I also prefer Telarc recordings that are not multi-...
