A tale of WAF
Just tell her that the arrival of your new extremely loud rock concert speakers means she actually has a good reason to have a headache!!!
My love of music is killing me.
The toughest thing for a parent is to lose a child. Remember it is good to cry and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. iMHO, You don't need help you simply need to accept how you feel (perfectly normal after your loss) and embrace it rath...
New Giant Television
In that size room you could install at least a 120 inch drop down screen - that would be my recommendation - but you already know that you don't want a projector.
Covering RPG Skyline with fabric
Of course it will work perfectly. Just use something similar to speaker grills - as near enough acoustically transparent as you can find.
Anyone heard te Sony SS-AR1
I was just pointing out that Sony does use other brands too. Studios have several types - especially as they will often have multiple nearfields. Those Duntechs are awesome. My response was to Mhedges. ATC is not exactly a household name like Sony...
Anyone heard te Sony SS-AR1
Ok what is ATC?ATC ReviewThey are used by many of the people that make our favorite "audiophile" recordings Steve Hoffman and Doug Sax (Sheffield Labs) as well as mainstream (pop/rock, classical, Hollywood multi-channel soundtrack) stuff. Not to be...
How many electrons?
consider the number of electrons that move between the amp output poles and the speaker cables every secondThe answer is still Zero. Alternating current has no net movement of electrons. Same as there is no net movement of air in your room when y...
Anyone heard te Sony SS-AR1
I'll bet they are extremely good compared to most other speakers, however, remember that Sony Studios use ATC and Sony also selected ATC to demonstrate SACD format when they rolled that out.
How many electrons?
I can't believe how difficult this has been.Stereo speakers run on AC. AC is Alternating Current. Since we use Alternating Current there is no net transfer of electrons to the speaker. (Your speakers are NOT like a car battery that you would charg...
Vinyl composition effect on noise floor
I have many colored albums such as Boston - awesome cover art. Sadly the sound quality is always worse - something to do with the process. But they look great on a wall!
How many electrons?
Zero - that is obvious one
Benchmark VS Mark levinson 36 DAC ?????????
overdriving the next device in the audio chain ... sound will be bright, edgy, hard No. What happens is that the signal completely saturates the input of the next stage. This usually causes instability as the amp oscillates in and out of complete ...
Benchmark VS Mark levinson 36 DAC ?????????
Probably overdriving the next device in the audio chainIt was a little muffled, lacking detail and resolution.Knghifi,Many people had that experience. This Benchmark DAC1 is primarily a pro product and belts our a much higher output voltage (much ...
Is the Accuton driver that good?
Face,They are indeed easy to work with but that was not my main criticism of the design. An approach that depends on the Correction of audible artifacts is simply not a great starting point for a design.
Is the Accuton driver that good?
They are an extreme - lightweight and extremely rigid. Unfortunately, this means they are not that good overall. The approach to building a driver is a balance of many conflicting properties. For sure they are extremely lightweight, so ceramic dri...
