Krell FPB 600, XLR short pins Insert the U pins between pins 1 and 3 of the XLR connectors and that should take care of the humming problem. I had the same problem and the shorting pins really helped.
any krell power amplifier users use tube preamps? Mike,I have Krell amps but I don't use a tube preamp with them. You can remove the jumpers in the amp yourself. You don't need to send it to Krell or need a dealer. Just remove the top cover and you'll see 2 jumpers on a small PC board located nea...
What's this stuff on the back of a PS Audio Outlet The blue devices are Y caps used for high frequency filtering. They are connected between line to ground and neutral to ground. The large square device is a surge suppresor connected across line to neutral. Rich
Power Chords or Power Plants? Power Plant will give more improvement than cords. PP will reduce noise and fix ac distortion. Cords will help reduce noise pick up or emission but it can't fix low line or distortion.

Popping Sound from Krell 200FPB It's possible that you have some DC offset from your preamp. You might want to remove the jumpers on the input board on the Krell so that the input is AC couple through the capacitors. You need to remove the top cover and you'll see two jumpers on...

What's the funniest or dumbest thing you did? A few years ago my mother did some laundry during her visit and since it's was warm day, she decided to hang the laundry outside. I wasn't home to help her so she made a cloth line using my Kimber interconnect cables. I didn't realized my cables w...
BNC to RCA Dan,Radioshack has them. I have bought a few before. In fact, I will be buying three more this weekend to convert a BNC cable to RCA male. They have female RCA to BNC and male RCA to BNC. The other place you can try is digikey.com or partsexpress....
Aerial Sw 12 vs Revel B 15 Subs ? I have heard the SW12 and the B25 but not side by side so it's difficult to say which is better. However, I did purchase the B15 and it's used for 2 channel music and HT. The B15 does have a few advantages over the SW12 - $1500 less, more features...
