Just buy a Nagaoka MP-200  , does 98% of what can be done  and is $480 and a new stylus goes for 300 $.I use Last  stylus treatment and looking through a Carl Ziess scope showed no real wear at 900 hours .
Recommended cartridge for Rega 3
Just buy a Nagoka MP-200 cartridge  with whatever you buy !
