Can’t recommend ASUS VivoMini enough if you need Roon Core
I just checked it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Why wont speaker companies publish their measurements?
bluemoonriver: "I will propose to a future wife based on measurements only. What could possibly go wrong?" Haha........(two years later) "but I thought this relationship would last, your measurements are great!"
Why so many angry audiophiles?
It’s the same people arguing over the same things over and over. I’ve literally left threads and come back 6 months later and yep: the same people arguing and saying the same things. Audiophile fuses, MQA or Tekton speakers anyone?
Best integrated for my needs????
ratbastrd - I heard a demo of a Devialet integrated going on 2 years ago. It was fine but probably not that much better than your Peachtree you currently have. Perhaps they have gotten better but $12,500 for a refurbished 440 Pro? No way. Again, I...
Best integrated for my needs????
Hey ratbastard (gotta love that user ID) - They are hard to find right now but check-out the NAD M33. It’s getting rave reviews, costs $5,000, includes a very nice streamer, DAC, user interface, DIRAC live, MQA and most importantly a 200w/ch ampli...
Can anyone recommend a good streamer/DAC?
I’d suggest the most popular streamer/DAC out there. The Bluesound NODE 2i. Don’t worry about the low price - it sounds good - nice fit for your Rogue and KEF gear, in my opinion. Does Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, MQA, etc. and the control software is s...
Has anyone shipped things back to China?
Yeah, don’t do it.
Yamaha R-N803 one of the best values in high-end audio?
@mike_in_nc - yeah that's probably true. I admit I wasn't very patient with YPAO. Since I've been working from home because of COVID-19 this may a good time delve in to it again.
Yamaha R-N803 one of the best values in high-end audio?
@kren0006 - all good points. @mike_in_nc - I didn't like what the YPAO did. It just doesn’t sound as good as the Pure Direct feature and then tuning by ear.  I messed around with ARC on an Anthem integrated at a dealer. The salesperson just kind o...
Yamaha R-N803 one of the best values in high-end audio?
Kren0006 - yep the Marantz is very similar. Main difference is it only has 60 watts and only one set of binding posts. Also no speaker correction. The retail price is a couple hundred more like you indicate. I assume everything works like it shoul...
Yamaha Audio products from the past? vs. more current.
I use a Yamaha R-N803 receiver. I’ve had lots of high end gear over the years. It’s very, very good. I’ve recommended it to a number of people. Check out my system page. Here is is an info link:https://www.crutchfield.com/S-7Mw4aUSrU1u/p_022RN803/...
Home Theater Done Right: Millercarbon's System
@millercarbon - great system and great thread! Totally agree that solid value components and tweaks are the way to go. I’ve owned MANY components over the years including a six figure Shindo based system. After much listening and experimenting, I ...
Smooth sounding integrated
The Yamaha R-N803 receiver is an excellent choice.  https://www.crutchfield.com/p_022RN803/Yamaha-R-N803.html?awcr=77515597474161&awdv=t&awkw=Ya...
Bybee Active Room Neutralizers
@tonyjack - yeah was thinking about putting them on my Tektons.  A friend recently put them on his Tekton ULF and thinks they are great. I think he only put them on the woofers and midbass drivers but not sure.  I need to go over there and take a ...
Bybee Active Room Neutralizers
@tonyjack - where did you install the new Bybee Clarifiers - just on your speaker magnets?
