My journey to find a speaker + amp + setup for classical music (piano) Costa Mesa, California. Maybe my search ability is not good enough.
My journey to find a speaker + amp + setup for classical music (piano) I am interested in NS5000, but couldn’t find one locally and in Asia(when I stayed there) somehow. I am too lazy to go through home demo unless I’m 90% certain that I would buy. When I get a chance, I’d like to try that one out. My experience with...
Nordost Heimdall 2 vs Wireworld Eclipse 8 vs Jorma Trinity Speaker Cable? @stereo5 I didn’t know Canare had burn-in recommendation.I totally understand that simply higher price doesn’t mean better sound. I begin to see cable as effect filters for photos.Anyway, I do plan to keep Canare. It provides really balanced fine ...
Coax Digital Out -> XLR Digital Input cable? Long story short, Apple doesn’t allow Boulder to use Airplay (though it’s capable.) And Boulder doesn’t support Idagio Streaming that I use.To use Boulder streaming support, I need both Qobuz and Roon with Roon Core. I do not want any of these.For...
Coax Digital Out -> XLR Digital Input cable? Thank you.I broke the Toslink flap door already, so I don’t want to use Toslink. (I hate this door... too fragile.)Btw, I thought that Coax is better than Toslink (even better than Glass Toslink cable.)https://www.whathifi.com/advice/coaxial-vs-op...
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible. Just to be clear, of course things are dependent on situation. Many speaker manufacturers recommends equilateral triangle set up as the starting point yet notably the engineer of Harbeth recommends a 1:1:1.5 triangle shape.
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible. Isn’t it written by the world class professional studio engineer? I thought that it’s professional standard. Any industry insider? It’s interesting that there are two completely different ideas. https://proaudioblog.co.uk/home-studio-monitoring-spe...
Floor-standing vs Book-shelf from upper line up? Thank you. Yes, bass might be overwhelming since my room is not fully treated but only has limited number of acoustic panels in key points.I will check out Joseph Audio Pulsar 2.I really like D&D 8c too. I have a different pretty well made act...
Floor-standing vs Book-shelf from upper line up? Honestly this is my first time hearing the name fritz. Thank you for the detailed review. I’ll check it out!
Floor-standing vs Book-shelf from upper line up? Thank you for advice. My curiosity haunts me until I get a bigger house and a bigger speaker that has everything. Also this can’t happen... well very unlikely... :(@verdantaudio since you know marten, I’d like to ask you for this... how about addi...
Floor-standing vs Book-shelf from upper line up? Thank you!I basically compare Parker Duo vs Oscar Trio. Technically my curiosity is how different frequency spec would affect in the long term though I know it’s just number and actual sound may vary. - Especially Classical music / piano sound tha...
Floor-standing vs Book-shelf from upper line up? I totally agree with you. For me, (who like piano sound in Classical music) I find that more bass often somehow provides deeper piano sound depth. Of course I need to hear in person but since it’s relatively minor brand in the US, the situation ge...
Should I use Speaker Spike / Isolation Base or Something? Let’s say 67lbs (30kgs). One thing I’m not sure is, the speaker has pucks under it. So if I had a hard floor, then I would def just put it. But my rooms is carpeted. So, not sure whether I better just put it on the carpet (have the most flexibilit...
Should I use Speaker Spike / Isolation Base or Something? The route is not conclusive as I thought. Kind of tricky situation indeed. Thank you for the advice. |
