stone wall behind the audio rack and speakers
Hey Theo, just wanted to let you know that we were posting at at the same time, so I wasn't commenting on your tv placement. I have the same problem in one room (WAF issue!) and it does make a difference.

Good or bad? It's "bad", but....Suggest that you note the texture of the wall at Hanson Audio, and also the distance separating speakers from the wall. Both distance and texture can mitigate hard reflective surfaces that otherwise might seriously ...
Don't read you'll be sorry
I'm sorry I read all the posts that said they were not sorry they read the original post, but were sorry they read all the posts saying they were sorry.
HUM - you can catch fish in a dingy too.
"I disregard the braysayers regarding risks."Excellent! ..that would make for an interesting epitaph.Grimace, glad you feel safe with your solution, and who knows, it may be just fine. Besides, if you do have a problem, I'm sure that Newbee will s...

Good find, but you may still not be home free. Some of the experts here might wonder if you could be placing your $15K system at additional risk. You may want to check some of the old Agon threads regarding cheater plugs. The good news: this may be...
Oppo BDP-95 Versus Bel Canto DAC 3.5

A mystery for you tech gurus out there
+1 Davehrab, you may have just salvaged this thread with a note of clarity for the original qn. If the OP hasn't abandoned in frustration, I suspect that he'll know by now whose hijacking posts he should just ignore. The original description sugges...
Sub? Can't Decide
Looking back, I sure wish my apartment-life neighbors had been half as considerate as Elizabeth is! That said, with your Mythos soundbar rolling off at 60 Hz, I think it's clear you should try a small sub. Mateored is right. Get it dialed in with ...
Oppo BDP-95 Versus Bel Canto DAC 3.5
+1 Doggiehowser, Ricketysmurf. Use BDP-95 as a universal disk source and for great home theater. Go elsewhere for computer audio playback, and a fully configured BC DAC 3.5 system is near top-of-the line, imo.

Qns on Ayre AX-7e Int Amp
Wyred,If you believe that the amplifier of interest is an Ayre AX-7E but it does not show the faint gold "Evolution" label on the front panel, then it is still possible that your unit is an "E" version that has been upgraded from an AX-7. To its c...
Fixing Vandersteen 2c's?
+1 Audioconnection. Give the staff at Vandersteen a call. They have a great reputation for steering folks straight on issues like this. There may even be an authorized repair center closer to your residence. These are classic speakers, BTW.
Nad M3? Need amp for Vandersteen 3 $3,000 budget
Ayre Acoustics uses Vandy speakers to "voice" their amps during design/development, so they are a natural and often-used pairing. Ayre V-5XE amps are available secondhand for $3K.
