Download and "ripping" questions with a Mac.
I think you'll need to re-rip the CD's converted into ACC as they have lost information in the encoding algorithm: they are now "lossy" as opposed to "lossless." If you have to rip within the Apple Leopard OS, I would recommend you compare rips fr...
USB DAC or USB to SPDIF conv. + non USB DAC?
Yep, you're right, the Brick cannot yet be ordered 24/96, although I'm sure that is in the works.
Bridge Device/Music Storage
I don't know of a better "bridge" either and would suggest you consider a wired approach....assuming you haven't already done so. It seems as if you have a pretty good DAC and a wired solution could very well improve sound quality quite a bit. Acc...
USB DAC or USB to SPDIF conv. + non USB DAC?
Just to add to Restock's post.....all Wavelength DAC's can be ordered with 24/96 capability. Yet, as far as I know, that is as high as USB will go for now anyway. Yet, with a good soundcard or through firewire, sample rates can go as high as 24/19...
why still buy a cd player?
Wow, not this again.....well, here goes: It depends on what equipment you use. IMO, Sonos's primary objective is interface and usabiltiy, not sound quality. With some research, anyone can find computer gear and an accompanying DAC that will rival ...
Itunes Error Correction

older hi-end tube tv recommendations.....and hdtv.
Your best bets are these Sony KD series sets: KD-30XS955, KD-34XS955, KD-36XS955, and KD-34XS960 (most recent model). These were Sony's very best and nearly last CRT HDTV's. They have full high definition tuners and are capable of displaying 1080i...
Bryston SP2
Thanks again. I'll contact Bryston this week to find out if they can be any more definitive....I'll report back with new info.
Bryston SP2

3.1 channel processor....is there such a thing?
Yep, I'm eager to check it out. Thanks.

Thanks again.
3.1 channel processor....is there such a thing?
OK. Thanks for the responses. Any suggestions on a small 5.1/7.1 processor that might compliment some NHT M-00 monitors with S-20 sub?
Ripping on a Mac: Options
Unclejeff, Vegasears: Will you please provide some instruction on how to use Toast to complete audio rips? I can't figure it out..... Thanks!
Passive Preamps? Anyone?
Thanks everyone for the thoughtful responses! I'll start checking into these options.
