speaker cables for Wilson Sophia If the amp struggles power wise with the impedance dip of the Sophia from 150k-450k some cables may highlight the treble, be ultra clear and not be very fleshed out at all . I'm trying Cardas Golden Reference S/C's and I/C's and so far am happy wi...
What decibel level do you listen at? Funny you'd pick Miles, I was listening to "Kind Of Blue" this afternoon at 72db and it was very enjoyable. Was that the best db level? At 70db-74db my system starts becoming dynamic enough to have energy/life.
What decibel level do you listen at? Very similar to Elizabeth 64db-78db once in awhile into the low 80's. I keep a spl meter on all the time and try to average about 70db because of the mild tinnitus in my right ear. These level 64db-76db don't seem to aggravate my ear.

Nova Phenomena vs. E.A.R. 868P The 868/88 is a very good solution but you are limited to that one phono and if you don't like the sound you have no alternatives but to sell the 868 even though you may like this linestage. I'm in exactly that situation with the LAP and may event...
What power cord with your ARC AR VS 115? When I owned the VS-115 I tried two cords that my ARC dealer lent me but preferred it with the stock cord in my system.
Raysonic CD168 connects directly to Power Amp I liked my 168 better through a Calypso pre also for basically the reason Dopogue did.I preferred the tighter sound of the Amperex US 7308 PQ or US 6922 PQ besides the 168 didn't like the higher heater current of the 6DJ8 and became slightly hotte...
Nova Phenomena vs. E.A.R. 868P I owned a Nova Phenomena, ProJect 9.1 with carbon fiber arm, Benz Glider 2 med. and a CJ Act 2 preamp. As good as the Nova was I always wanted a little more of everything and sold the Nova and replaced it with a Pass XOno. I wanted to find a tube ... |
