forte 4 VS. forte 4a VS. forte 7 JY: I concur with Elizabeth & others who state the differance between 4 & 4a is a balanced input. I owned the model 6a at one point. I found it to be both sonically pleasing (warm yet detailed) & built like a tank. The 6a is exactly th...
Opinion on Mcintosh MC 300, MC 352 Amp Hi Twilo: I too owned a MC-300 for a short period of time. It is aesthetically beautiful & with build quality second to none. Unfortunatly, sonically I found it to be a huge disappointment. I found it to be both thin & very bright sounding...
Yamaha T-1 The T-1 was manufactured in 1978-79. It's the little brother of the renowned T-2 (known as one of the best tuners of all time). The T-1 retailed for $365. I payed $75 for a used mint one. They may sell on ebay for $200 - 300, but like most things ...

sonus faber extrime. problem...... Saki1: How far away from the rear wall are your speakers. You also don't have nearly enough power to wake up the Extrema's. A minimum of 250 watts per channel would be recommended. Awesome speaker by the way!
Tara Labs Master Generation-2 Hi David 99: I have 2 sets of these Tara's in my main system. I'm not sure why Ejlif feels there not the most detailed. I feel they are very detailed, in fact some may find them a tad bright. I'm using them with tubes so I found them to be a good ...
Coping in an Age of Uncertainty Boy Cornfedboy, I think you've asked the one question that's been pondering in most our minds. I'm like you, not sure what to do. Who wants to dump a lot of money into a format with limited source material, that may be bust in the near future. Not...
McIntosh Speakers "Lean Sound"???? Let's face it, the MAC's aren't noted for there speakers. They never have been & probably never will. You would do better to look eleswhere for a transducer.
sonus faber or b w? Absoloutly nooooo contest. The Extrema's will walk all over the B&W's in EVERY way. Just beware, your going to need a lot of power...at least 250 watts per side to wake them up. Those speakers are incredible!!! |
