What are "Full range speaker" If you would consider coaxial speakers as single driver, then you'll have tons of this type of single driver full range speakers from vintage to modern. They sound extremely open and effortless except they're big. in cabinet size. Some fine coaxial ...

What are "Full range speaker" I hit enter key to fast the first time which I didn't finish my posting. I mean to say the second statement. However, the term becomes more weight when you talk about "single driver" speakers since majority are already full range speakers.

good phono amp under 1000? Harmon Kardon Citation I preamp. Best phono section I've ever heard. Blew away Audio Research and Counterpoint. Dynamic, detailed and yet smooth. Seldom find them on ebay for $400. This preamp has only MM. It works awsome with Music Reference RM-4...
Best in depth of soundstaging and ease for 2k? From my experience, larger speakers will perform much better for ochestral and classical. The monitors are nice but it doesn't have the big presence. If you have enough space then I would consider a coaxial or horn setup.I have both setup.

CAT SL MKIII vs ARC SP 11 or 10 Put the CATs Ultimate aside (since I have not heard), I would probably choose ARC SP11 MKII for my setup. There are only 6 tubes (3 for phono and 3 for line stage) in SP11 MKII so the tube cost is relatively cheap.Depends on match up, the CATS is ...
Favorite H H Scott Tube Integrated Amplifier I found the resistor replacement made a bigger difference than capacitor replacement in all my vintage gears. If I can find one, I would only replace with similar carbon resitors.
Mac C22 phono section okay? The Mac sound is typical warm and full. The V15 is also warm and bit roll off.IMHO, warm + warm do not mix.Better off with Sumiko Blue point special or another phono preamp.
Bryston 4B-SST and Audio Research SP-16 IMHO, found a bit on the thin side for the mid. Works fine for R&B and rock but not as good for vocal, strings and classical.
Rookie Tube Question s If the tube doesn't glow then it means the heater supply is not working. It could be tube or your heater supply circuit. Try tube replacement first. If same happens after tube swapping then it is very likely you have a broken heater supply circuit...
