| Are Dual turntables any good? The 5000 is nice to look at but has a lot of plastic parts on the tonearm assembly and is hard to get the feet adjusted. It seems to work fine but I have never used it in my main system. It is known for being in the movie the Lair of The White Worm. | |

| Preamp output voltage? The lower the output voltage the higher you will have to turn up the preamp to achieve the same volume as one with more voltage. And you will probably hear more noise from the amp and or preamp when the volume is turned way up. | |

| raising subwoofer off floor by 20 inches I don't know about such a plan. Is it a downfiring sub? If so, it probably should be on the floor. As far as blending better with your mains, try lowering the crossover point. If you want more punch, turn the sub up or place it in a corner. |
