Need cable to soften brightness just a little?
Have you tried changing the position of your speakers? Angling inward to where the tweeters are not hitting your ears directly can soften the top end considerably.

Krell KSA100 vs Threshold 400A vs McCormack DNA 0.5
I would go with the Krell also. Another amp to consider though is a solid state Conrad Johnson if you don't mind single ended. I had one in the shop around 15 years ago and it sounded great.
Can someone explain to me why : Accupahse Equipment is that expensive ?
Accuphase is founded in Tokyo by Mr. Nakaichi Kasuga and Mr. Jiro Kasuga on June 1, 1972. Before founding Accuphase, the two gentlemen were the founders of Trio-Kenwood in 1946. They have always felt very strongly that a manufacturer of high-qua...

Just got ruined by a pair of Treo CTs
I recently heard the Quatros at a friend's and they sounded quite sterile and glaring.

Is Velodyne gone?
I believe Velodyne starting having problems when the father died and his sons took over. As a one time dealer I still believe they were the best sub available at the time because of their room tuning capabilitiy.
Why Isnt Techincs 1200 Considered Audiophile?
The 1200 is not a DJ table. It just has good Skookum. So DJ’s glom on to it.
Dan D'Agostino Helius dual monoblocks, 1500w @ 8ohms
Frustee, Dan disn't design every amp at Krell. There's more than one engineer there.
Am I an Audiophile, a music lover-or both?
Yes.
Upcoming Technics SP-10R (100th Anniversary Model)
I don't care for the obsidian plinth either but I was actually responding to the question of how to use a 9" arm with the SP-10. The first SP-10 I had came with a 9" Signet arm that worked fine. There's quite a few 9" arms that will. I completely ...
Upcoming Technics SP-10R (100th Anniversary Model)
I have a 12" tonearm on my MKIII so I never had a problem. But moving shorter arms more toward the center of the platter helps.http://www.theanalogdept.com/k_mccarty1.htm
