Classical Music for Aficionados
I hate to be a wet towel here, but really guys, this is supposed to be a site that concentrates on music.
Live music you have attended that left impact....perhaps better than you expected.

What were the radio stations of your youth that helped you on your music/audio journey?
Does anyone remember “Music through the Night” on WCBS AM in New York with Bill Hall sponsored by American Airlines.  All night classical music on a commercial variety radio station during the day.  GREAT memorable pop theme song for the broadcast...
For SACD fans only
I use my OPPO 105 with the D-BOB and the Benchmark DAC.Sounds wonderful.
How do you listen?
Edcyn,I discovered the same thing. My peaks are at around 75 or less.
How do you listen?
Interestingly, when listening to an orchestra at lower volumes you can picture yourself further back in the hall. Conversely, with higher volumes, closer up.it’s all an illusion anyway.
How do you listen?
When I say I listen “very loud,” that for me, at peak, is about 80-85db.
How do you listen?
i concur with the posts here. There IS a certain level that a particular track will sound best. And, where you sit in a hall does determine the impact of an orchestra.
Solid state amp to go with tube preamp; used ok; budget: $3k max

With streaming sounding as good as it does I don’t see how the CD market is going to survive much longer..Already Amazon has many titles only available as downloads.
What percentage of the time do you listen to records vs. digital sources?
One caveat. After an analog binge (even though the SQ is close) it takes me a little time to accommodate myself to digital.
